@Brilliant Dutch - And I was right. PSV looked bad at home and lost to a very clinical AZ 0-1. Veerman with a horrible back pass that led to the score. AZ just choked the game off in the 2nd half.
Just saw score… if AS is still the manager, I might skip some matches. I cannot stand to watch this garbage anymore. It is not only losing football but is also AWFUL to watch. we also don’t want a technical director— WHO IS IN CHARGE? WHAT IS GOING ON? Totally pathetic and rudderless club. I am over it.
He was really lucky that the league was bad during his first four years as manager when he won championships. He's been a complete failure since then. Thanks but no thanks.
I want Bosz. We would play daring football. He would cut the dead weight like he did with Gudelj, El Ghazi, Bazoer. He doesn't take shit-- and honestly the attitude of the current players is awful. Bosz as manager, Wim Jonk as TD. Bring back Cruijff ideals!
Looks like Ocampos is headed back to Sevilla. He never had a chance to play much. Sontje Hansen from Jong Ajax may head off to Vitesse on a transfer in January. He is out of contract next June.
Just ridiculous waste of time for Ocampos. He played well for Sevilla and was on the fringes of the Argentina squad. The whole affair is just confusing and bizarre. He was bought, he was not, he was rented, and he doesn’t play and will be returning to Sevilla. Bottom line he should have been playing. Hope to hear the reason why he did not get a proper chance. Ajax, Schreuder, the Board just look ridiculous.
Ajax women beat PSV today with a goal from Romme Leuchter to remain undefeated in the Ladies Eridivisie. They play FC Twente, who are also perfect, next weekend. I hope this match is televised so I can watch some good football.
Yes it is. they did show the match with PSV on Dutch ESPN this morning so it might show this one next Sunday.
For those who want to see real Dutch footie, Ajax ladies play FC Twente tomorrow morning at 6:15 EST (US). Both teams are unbeaten in league play. Game will be on Dutch ESPN so those of you with IPTV can tune in!!! Ajax RB Isa Kardinaal who at 17 may be the best RB wearing an Ajax shirt has missed recent games so she may be injured.
Ajax ladies lose 3-1 away at FC Twente. It was a pretty even game. The first two Twente goals came of corner kicks that were poorly defended (I guess they took lessons from the men's team). Third Twente goal came in the 89th minute off a turnover when Ajax had too many players up field and it was converted into a nice 2 v 1 break away. Kop came out to try to narrow the angle but it was a good strike from the Twente player. Twente keeper van Domselaar, who is also the Dutch #1, sparkled with some good saves including a penalty save that Leuchter could not get past her. All in all it was a very good game with both teams playing 4-3-3 with very active FBs pushing forward. Twente go top of the table with the win which was the first loss for Ajax.
In addition to Ocampos, Ajax are trying to get rid of Magallan (one of the worst transfers of all time) and Perie. None of the three are going to the winter break training camp Perie's contract runs until 2024 and there must be a club that could use a good passing center back.
Now he wants to go back to PSV. What a train wreck this guy is https://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=411732
Still don't understand why we didn't sell Daley in the summer, but he could be gone on a free in January (save $ salary wise): UPDATE: The interest is reported by @telegraaf also. The Belgian club is hoping to sign Daley on a free transfer in January. It seems Schreuder is not planning on playing Blind [as before]. Daley’s contract is valid till July 2023. Antwerp will be taking over his [high] salary. https://t.co/kF1fSJMMKm— weTalk Ajax (@wetalkajax) December 9, 2022
I think Blind is one of the high salary players at Ajax. Sources on the Internet say its €2M so they would save a million euros just letting him leave on a free. I'm not sure Antwerp want to pay any kind of transfer fee.
Especially that Antwerp has a Dutch LB hidden gem in 19 y.o Bjorn Meijer... which they paid a very handsome sum for (€3M per transfermarkt site)
And pretty much official: Blind gone this window. NIEUWS: #Ajax honoreert voor WK ingediende transferverzoek van @BlindDaley. Verdediger mag transfervrij weg.🏴 Ajax honours transfer request from Daley #Blind submitted before World Cup. Defender may leave transfer-free.https://t.co/MuitZa9Alz— Mike Verweij (@MikeVerweij) December 14, 2022
No big surprise here. Daley Blind's contract has been terminated effective Dec 31 so he is free to move on.
