If you wanna watch on your home TV you need an android box plus a subscription (which is usually $15/month).

But then you get almost every channel from around the world, even PPV channels

Goodbye Gorter. I was nice knowing ya.

    Horrible, horrible clearance.
As a keeper you're supposed to punch the ball towards the sidelines

The GK position is a total disaster. They have to buy someone.

38 and missed a ton of matches last year... Relying on him is a big big mistake.

Not much to say about this game. for the second year in a row we get a LB sent off for a reckless tackle. I'm sorry but I hope not to see Higler call another Ajax game this season. He just let to much go by in the first half and then it was trying to play catch up with his whistle. I know you all want ratings and here they are:

Gorter (3.5) - thought he was better than this from the pre-season. Not much he could do on the fourth goal as it was a wicked shot that swerved at the last minute.
Rensch (4.5) - had trouble with Gakpo all night long but any other RB will also have problems
Timber (4.5) - only played in one pre-season game before today and was out jumped by Til conceding a goal
Blind (3.5) - too slow these days, yes he can still pass but he's just a major liability on defense
Wijndal (6) - had one of the better games for Ajax
Alvarez (5) - about average and picked up a YC for an elbow when Hoever went unpunished early in the half for a worse hit on Bergwijn
Taylor (6) - probably the best player on the pitch, worked hard all game and had two solid shots on goal
Berghuis (4) - did he even have more than a half dozen touches?
Antony (5.5) - another player with little pre-season game time, had a nice goal to draw Ajax even before the bottom fell out
Tadic (5.5) - played mostly as a striker but didn't strike very weill
Bergwijn (6) - third of the three best players out there, first goal was beautiful
Bassey (3) - horrible tackle for a deserved RC, is he a RB or CB, I hope he is a CB rather than Blind but we will see
Kudus (5) - had a nice goal just before the RC
Brobbey (NR) - on at the end when all was lost
Klaassen (NR) - same as Brobbey
Schuurs (NR) - is he going or staying?? Club really needs depth on the back line.

PSV take on Monaco in CL qualifying. I hope they don't lay an egg like they did last season. Ajax open the season next week away to Fortuna Sittard

Watch it again, the ball was a rocket with no spin and swerved at the last minute. He was lucky just to get a solid punch on the ball.

And what about the rest of the game??

I want Pasveer back until we find a better keeper

Goalkeeper has been a massive issue since Onana got hurt and benched etc.
Something needs to be done immediately, but reading comments from Schreuder (who is happy with the Keepers) makes me wonder if he is crazy.
Defensively this group is a mess.
Blind is an absolute joke, and it won’t get any better for him, Ajax, and Oranje.
He is food for the opposition.
Cannot play under pressing or pressure.
I pray that Van Gaal wakes up to these FACTS!
Timber’s lack of size is a real problem and he needs protection in the middle, especially against better class opponents.
    Easier said then done.
Rensch seems soft and weak, and lacking in confidence.
He won’t last long at this rate.
Schuurs sucks clearly if he cannot get into the team over Blind.
Not a great debut for Bassey who obviously will need to step up his level quickly.

  16. I was from the first time he was selected and fielded for the Orange Squad critical about his length for the CB spot.

I think Schreud should experiment with Bassey and Alvarez as CBs and Timber as DM. It can't get worse can it? IMO RB is a bigger problem than GK. It was Gorter's first high profile game so it's normal that he felt the pressure. Plus we have Setford who looks very promising and will hopefully be back in December.

  18. That's why I called it an insult to established players by van Gaal to select and play him in the Orange Squad.

  19. I still don't get it they don't go after Marsman.

Just on attack. Sliding tadic in the middle massively offsets the balance compared to last season. He was such an instrumental from the wings last season. Bergwijn brings a totally different package.

Bergwijn is a very good player, who has found confidence with Oranje and partnering Memphis.
Quite unlucky at Spurs were Kane and Son are together outstanding.
Conte made a mistake playing Lucas Moura and the Swede Kushvelski over him, so good move to join Ajax.
Tadic is not at his level, and if anything he’s peaked. He is probably best suited as a #10 but then you have Berghius who fits that profile as well.
I wonder if Antony gets sold?
If so need to take his sell on money and upgrade GK, Defense and add another Attacker, but it’s much easier said than done.

Last year we lost 4-0 to PSV, romped through the group stages in the CL and won the league again. While it would be nice to win the Cruyff Shield, it has absolutely ZERO impact on the season.
