Who cares? The Kraft's don't care about this team so I'm boycotting all things Revs. In fact, I may actually start doing some work!

And you guys have the audacity to compare people to star trek geeks...

And no, I don't know how to do that icon with the rolling eyes, but if I did, I would do it here.

    So add something Tom

Let's see what you and the rest have to say about the team itself

I'm curious to see how Joe-Max and TT will work out - and yourself ????????

I'll take the blame for turning this thread away from topic. But I'm not taking the blame for knowing nothing about the roster, I had to go to work so I could have access to bigsoccer all day ;)

So, does anyone know anything about the roster? I personally think we're fine without a true #10. I like the idea of this attack:

    Twellman/Harris
    Moore (WD fwd)
    Noonan, Hernandez, Ralston

    DEFENSE

    BROWN

I think the key is the left side

We were pretty much a one channel offense last year

And Hernandez - let's hope he shows up again this year

Agreed. The revs need either a certified central midfielder or left-winger to get by. Without either of these, they're hosed.

Makes me wish that our exEngland returnee to MLS was Eddie Lewis at times and not JMM

Can you imagine TT with crosses from BOTH sides

Even without those, we were pretty strong last year. I'm not sure Twellman can duplicate his performance, but I think Joe-Max is going to help a lot. I like the thought of Joe-Max playing free to roam sideline to sideline behind the forwards and in front of Hernandez. If defenses have to spend time being aware of where he is, it just might give Twellman and Harris enough time to get some real quality chances on net.

If we do discover a left-sided player, or if Noonan can become what I hope he can (dependable, Eddie-Lewis type), then I think we have a great chance to challenge LA for the title.

I swear I didn't read your post before mentioning Lewis. That's just weird...

What's up with Rusty? I didn't see him on the field in Brazil. What muscle did he pull now?

    That kid sure is fragile

It's a shame when you combine that with a terrible temper

His time on the field will always be small

i think Kamler was a big part of the success at the playoff run - ralston dropped off abit - or was marked out of existance. kamler made people pay for this defensive bias.

i think i did read somewhere that kamler was not off to a great start in brasil - but that aside, a more balanced attack is the key. and that can be tactical, w/out adding players, if need be...

Rusty should follow Joeys lead. Joey played over his head (no pun intended as I believe he is the MLS's shortest player) last year and seems a solid lock to wear the captains band again this year. He had a terrible temper 2 years ago and his reputation cost him many cards. Now he's captain and in control.

If we can Joey to cross instead of loftinging long balls, it will create more opportunities for Ralston - TT-JMM

This has been the Roster with Trialists noted (T).
As it stands we have a SI slot and a senior Rostor slot open.

    Reis
    Brown

    Joseph
    Kante (SI)
    Pierce
    Heaps
    Franchino
    Llamosa

    Kamler
    Griffith (SI)
    Ralston
    Cullen
    Hernandez
    Noonan
    (T)Buhlman (SI)
    (T)Uribe (SI)
    (T)Vasquez (SI)

    Twellman
    Moore
    Harris

    Singer
    Downing
    (T)I.Kante
    (T)Jackson
    Leonard

As has been mentioned before most players on the Senior Roster seem to have a secure position other than Griffith who would be the Odds Man Out of we wanted to sign both a Left Mid and Attacking Mid.

It seems like SN knows exactly what kind of player he's looking for to fit in with his system and won't sign anyone who doesn't fit that picture and who doesn't demonstrate the appropriate skill level. We read that our current trialists haven't started any fires and that SN has a few other players coming in for a look-see. And then there is the Supplamental Draft coming up as well although I doubt that there will be anything in that list that the Revs would wish to add.

Who will fill the last Roster slot (or two if he cuts Griffith) is the big question. ---the clock is running---
