Equation is now simple. Win our last 4 games and we qualify.

One down- three to go. ;)

Although I do think even a draw with Japan may be enough to get us over the line.

It will guarantee us at least equal points with second but we may still miss out on goal difference (provided of course we pick up six points from the other two games)..

Yep- we would have to smash Thailand to get us there in that scenario.

    Kruse and Smith <_<
No Gersbach, Grant or Goodwin >_>

I think Hrustic is being called up now so we cap-tie him and keep Bosnia away.

Yep- what happened to his "must be playing" mantra?

As much as I like Smith & Kruse, they don't have the legs for a 90 minute press.

Like? Kruse and Smith had little to no game time at Leverkusen and Bournemouth respectively. Kruse was last playing in China and played a couple games before being released; he should return to A-League IMO, while Smith should try his luck in The Championship a la Irvine, Mooy, Luongo and Wright.

I reckon Rogic is too good for the Scottish league; he, too, should make a move to The Championship IMO.

After all 3 games in the Confederations Cup, and especially the Chile game, it's evident that we definitely don't need Jedinak or Smith. What shocked me most is that although Mooy and Rogic are two of our best players atm, benching them against Chile saw us play some of the best football in a while; we looked so much faster without Mooy and Rogic, it's a shame we couldn't score a second goal.

Perhaps Ange should bench them again when we play Japan and Thailand. Furthermore, Kruse, Troisi and Milligan all need to find a club ASAP whether in Europe or A-League. Sainsbury should leave China as well IMO.
