The speciality of the English media. Build up players to high heavens only to tear them down even faster

They did it with Becks and Jude won’t be the last.

Anyhoo, the kid lives in Madrid and plays for the biggest club in the world. He doesn’t need any of the English clubs or Premier League etc.

    Lol

Between this and the clear lack of chemistry between Jude and the rest of the attackers I'm not surprised to see such articles.

The amount of times Jude ran into spaces asking for passes only to be ignored was hard to watch.

Could see this coming from a mile away. Jude playing outside of England makes him a more convenient target too. Bottomline is the guy needs to keep doing what he has been doing for Madrid and it’ll work itself out over time. So much growing still to do for him, it’s easy to forget his age currently with all he has accomplished already.

Can't believe all the discussion is still going on, as is generally the norm the first good team England come up against they normally lose, with very very few exceptions, in this particular tournament they struggled through against some so so sides playing some atrocious stuff, met a good team in the final were thoroughly outplayed and lost, nothing new to see here, blame the coach and tactics to high heaven again and again but the huge elephant in the room remains the talent level of the majority of the players, the hype machine in England continues to sell the English fans a dummy

As for Jude, get some rest and come back strong sir, when you are talented, win and play for the best jealousy abounds, you can't make England win on your own, i've said it numerous times, no matter how good a player is no one player can win games on their own, maybe all those fans, pundits and papers ( teammates?) over there should take a closer look at the myth that is Phil Foden

Funny how there is a massive campaign for Rodri to win Balon dor despite City fans thinking he was done last season. Would probably have tried to push KDB down our throats if Belgium had managed to win the Euros to despite him also being "finished"

You don’t even see this level of gossiping and bitchiness in women’s football

A bit late as I've been working quite a bit once I landed in the UK and wasn't able to post on here.

Not going to lie, it was pretty cool seeing Brits get hype for the final. I was born in Brazil but grew up in the states and have been to all types of sports events here including a Super Bowl. Nothing comes close to what I saw in London Sunday night. Only thing I thought was odd was that you have to book tickets/spots if you want to watch big matches at pubs/bars/public places in the UK. I always assumed there'd be big TVs in public areas for everyone.

Still trying to get my thoughts together about the final and Jude.

I will say there wasn't much mayhem and destruction after the final at least from what I saw. Most people were drunk and jolly even after the final whistle.

Currently in the south of Spain with family and friends on holiday but I had to hop on here.

I walked by the big Nike store in central London last week and guess whose image greeted me as I walked in....Phil Foden.

I was shocked to not even find Jude's image anywhere on the big displays in the store. They will never get over Jude choosing Madrid and life outside of England.

why would Jude be in the advert for Nike when he’s an Adidas athlete?

    Jude is Adidas

However it is on cue that all the front pages had mainly Jude and a couple with Kane.

None with Foden as the primary though. Protect their baby at all cost

So I'm guessing Spain won on the pitch and in the streets by how those guys wearing England kits are running and hitting the floor

Ahh ok that makes sense. I was genuinely shocked lol.

Barely even saw Bellingham shirts being worn by fans.

People usually wear the shirt of their favourite players, and they are usually players that they supported at the club level. And most people from the good European league countries usually support clubs in their own country. We should not read too much into it.

You went to a church and asked for a lap dance and chicken wings on the side.

Adidas stores have been plastered with Jude.
