Who do you think is a no. 9 in this years' Ex - Yu team? I, as a Slovenian, really rate Šeško, but would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Can't believe Foden played the whole game, invisible Southgate? i think the players on the pitch need to get it together and show that supposed quality that they are supposed to have, too easy to blame the coach, Saka, Foden, Rice, TAA nil, nada, not enough, lucky for them they have Jude who wants to win, is real quality, and understands what it takes to win, he's the only one with ALL those qualities, decent defensive performance i suppose, In this game Foden missing Haaland and DeBruyne and Rodri and Pep and Bernardo and........ Jude, just playing like he has all season long no matter the team, the real deal
Southgate made the wrong choices for the subs and we totally sat back in the 2nd half. Foden should have been hooked in the 50th for someone like Gordon - the left side attack was none existent. He brings on Bowen and Callagher when you have players like Palmer, Eze and Mainoo. Honestly, the choices Southgate made are why a majority didn’t even want him coaching this team at the Euros.
I thought Gallagher was the right choice, but yeah Foden should have been off for Gordon. I guess Southgate is trying to give him as much opportunity as possible. I’m not convinced we should be favourites at all though. The first xi haven’t played together much at all, the midfield three are good individuals but lack experience. A lot will depend on the “big names” showing up. Only Bellingham has so far. Kane did a decent job and had a good header saved. Foden non existent.
I’d like to have seen Palmer at some point too, but tbf if not for a good save Bowen would have assisted Kane for our second
Not surprising considering what Germany has become in recent years. A young fan was killed 2 days ago while 3 others were stabbed. I just hope there isn't a large attack anywhere.
I have some family who moved near Tiegarten after the war in Yugoslavia ended. They moved away 4 years ago after it got progressively more unsafe to the point where they didn't feel safe going out at night from all the crime compared to when they first came. 2006 World cup Germany compared to 2024 Euros Germany is not the same country safety-wise(I know it's still a safe country mostly)
Germany has a large ex-pat of Croatian's living there, the reason why they outnumbered the Spanish fans by about 7:1. Germany is like any other country post covid - reductions to services like the police has just magnified things even more. The same can be said about England, London specifically and other countries.
Covid was damaging and instead of governments and politicians to highlight the fact the inflation caused from the fallout would be stiff times... and adjusting? They tried to keep things going at the same rate buy flooding more currencies and attempting to force the same life styles pre-covid. The impacts are being felt now and that is why certain nationalist type beliefs are on the uprising even more than before. Many people hate responsibility and accountability so what better method to avoid both than to point to the invisible man as the problem or the immigrant or different person of skin or origin as being that "enemy". Anyways fear has always been a useful tool to control the stupid masses.
Well, you've certainly surprised me because this was a far better response than I expected. The truth to me at least is the the financial advantage of staying away from home has become a lot smaller than it used to be. I know a lot of people that moved back home because the quality gap between being there, and living abroad just melted.
Terrible for Belgium that Courtois not in the tournament because of ego clash between him and the coach. 1802735630411292785 is not a valid tweet id
Anyone saw the video of Koeman sitting the bench doing his thing on social media? I meant the one that he wanted to become the new Joachim Low.
🚨 France starting XI: • Kylian Mbappé starts. • Tchouameni is not fit yet. • Rabiot and Kante start over Camavinga.• Mendy is also on the bench. @lequipe pic.twitter.com/EJYDoI5Ww2— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) June 17, 2024
Acabo de escupir el agua en la putísima tele con esto de Koeman.pic.twitter.com/Eg6XYNToD1— Cᴀꜱᴛɪʟʟᴏ (@Castillo__Rm) June 16, 2024
It's weird. Prior to Kylian signing, I would've rooted against France if Camavinga, Tchou, and Mendy were all on the bench. But now that Mbappe is ours, we have to back Deschamps and this national team at all times
