I really haven’t seen much love for dude

besides a few of us, most people are either not into him or rightfully indifferent

I wish Endrick would get a run out on the right wing as a more direct and offensive option. Unfortunately, I think the Vinicius, Rodrygo and Bellingham issue is a big part of why we're seeing what we're seeing as opposed to Masta and Arda.

Exactly. How (rightfully) raising similar points translates to 'shitting' on him puzzles me somewhat. I wish him the best and there is – like mentioned before – a great player in there if he develops as a midfielder. But the amount of trust put in him (also taking into consideration that we had proper options) is something that I probably haven't seen in the last 30 or so years, at least not that I can recall. In fact, the last one is probably Raul (!), and I hope I don't have to explain to people that Franco is lightyears behind Raul in terms of...basically everything. Like you said, it's very weird.

Interesting, as in ......ever?, clearly since he's been here playing 90% of the mins, in that context i can see why it looks that way, seeing as he's on the pitch far more often, however IMO his end product and general play leaves a lot to be desired, he still looks like he is in what was formerly known as "headless chicken"( now something positive and folded into stats and attempts and trying and touches of the ball and so on no matter how it all turns out) territory to me at this time, i agree there's probably decent talent in there somewhere, hopefully he grows into it and we can see more of it on the pitch, he gets better, we get better, he's young, IMHO he's been lucky to have played so many mins as a starter

    Well said

This is what is happening. There aren't anyone actively rooting for this kid to fail like some of this kid's supporters have actively hoped for Endrick or Rodrygo's downfall.

All that has occurred is a blind level of trust and support no one else has been given and it's odd, weird, confusing, etc.. because so far he has been a neagtive asset offensively yet consistenly played and in an offensive position.

The reason hes playing is that he deserves it because of how he improves the team's play. Nothing has been gifted to him. Its funny that this whole "crisis" started and we started underperforming the moment he fell down with injury. I know most people can't see past boxscore stats but this fact should at least make one think about why he became so important so quickly.

Oh and the comparisons with Endrick are laughable. If Endrick had half the footballing brain and work rate Mastantuono does, his fat ass wouldn't have been glued to the bench like this.

    That wasn’t you

but there have been plenty on people hardcore shitting on him

    even calling him masteTONTO

Either way, not everyone has to love the players and no one is above criticism

but my point was most people are not happy with the amount of play he has gotten or with his performance so I don’t know what hype they were talking about

only Hendrix truly likes him. I mainly understand why Xabi likes him based on what he wants

Or the dislike is so much that any positivity towards the guy sounds deafening to the fans that don’t like him

just look at this last 2 pages. Who hyped him up?

I'm shocked that he started 6 or 7 games while being injured and uncomfortable. Surely Xabi knew, right? Did our pre-contract medical not pick up on this potentially chronic injury? Again Wtf?!

It's funny that "we need a Kroos now" because when we had the actual Kroos some people wanted to exchange him with somebody more dynamic that provides more goals & assists.

While the advanced field position here doesn't match the example, it's really common to confuse production on the scoreboard with production on the field.

If this was the EPL we'd already have a "Your just a South American Lucas Vazquez" chant going.

Franco will come good with time. Right now he’s not good enough.

Lucas Vazquez was an excellent player for quite a long stretch. He's amongst the top players on other teams.

I love Lucas Vazquez. I have a long history of fanboying over wingers who get forced to play as full backs for us starting with Solari.

Yeah man who wants forwards to actually score or assist? That's not what their job entails. We just need them to be intense advanced FBs who turnover the ball at an alarming rate.

There is definitely room for improvement, but he does add a ton of of things that we actually need

especially since we have issues in that right side

I mean no one else apart from Mbappe scores or assists anyway so might as well put on the guy that runs at least :ROFLMAO:.

But in all seriousness we’re so shit apart from Mbappe.

Vinicius hasn’t scored a goal in what feels like 10+ games.

It does feel like forever ago.

If he’d actually work on his shooting, he’d have a better chance than stabbing at the ball with the outside of his right boot only.

But yeah; vibes, passion, friendship, joga bonito
