    Let’s goooo!

Not sure if he’ll play in midfield, though. Might be safer to call him the right wing dictator :D.

I don't understand this transfer. The guy is 17. Is he good enough to be a starter? Stats don't exactly scream out anything.

I know it's humorous because of their names, but a major reason I'm from Miami is because my family fled Spain during the dictatorship. I can't deny that it irks me a bit how much Franco content is in the comment sections of Real Madrid posts right now.

In any case, can't hold that against the player. The hype coming out of Argentinian discourse is through the roof. I hope he can make an impact right away. I'm certain he will get an opportunity very quickly to make that right side his.

Bienvenido a un Argentino de River, igual que Di Stefano

It's probably too early to judge but hopefully he'll follow in the footsteps of Solari and Higuain, (or maybe Di Stefano if you're a bit too optimistic :D)

My guess is no. You rarely get kids that age from South America make that big of a jump. The adjustment to the quality of defenders alone is jarring for anyone, let alone a player that inexperienced in Europe.

I worry he'd be another Arda who won't get enough PT in his first and second year which will stunt his growth.

    This.

I understand the humour but can we be bit sensitive about some dictator who terrorised people.

Real Madrid historically has had no part to play with Franco as well , we are not a right wing club. Let's not even make some illiterate think that we have something in common with Franco.

    Let's change the title please.

Hopefully this Franco isn't as helpful to barca and harmful to Madrid as the evil dictator

We buy young players now and develop them. I don’t have an issue with this signing at all.

I wish him all the luck and success, but why are we hoarding all these unproven youngsters who are not exactly bargains? Can't we find some 25-year-old who we can take to the next level like we did with Modric or Kroos?

Kroos was already world class and Bayern's blunder. He was doing all the great things at Bayern and in 2014 WC with Germany.

Modric was one of the best midfielders in PL, but wanted out as Spurs weren't enough for his level. Such obvious options not available right now.
