Hopefully he can stay healthy and show something special at the World Cup. I'd like to see the looks on the Czech's faces when they get a hold of our Johnson.

i sure hope so. he is so athletic. as great as mc bride is in the air, i have never seen an american player get the elevation that GAM got in his goal against T&T back in feb (see below).

Twellman sucks. Buddle is uncapped as far as I know.

 

I concur...sort of. Twellman is great for the Revs, but he's crap for the MNT. Jonhson bags 8 goals in first 8 caps (3 as a sub against Panama), Twellman can't buy a goal for the MNT.

Does anyone know if there will be any type of footage of all this National team camp. anywhere, apart from the friendlies?

 

I must be one of the last remaining human beings that doesn't like hip hop or its ghetto style. To me Hip Hop died in the late 80's, now everyone and everything sounds the same and has too much bling bling for me to even fathom. That is probably why I'll never be 100% fans of either of the two in that photo even though they are in positions to succeed and help out the national team. Its exciting to watch both play but when they open their mouths there isn't much to listen to as they sound stupid when they can't avoid, "know what I'm saying" every two fecking words.

I've noticed that some of the stuff the players wear between games isn't made available to the public. I hope they make that one available.

 

I understand that Eddie doesn't like the nickname GAM. I would like to propose a new one--Flash. In addition to alluding to his speed, it is a dig at those who maintain he is a flash in the pan, hasn't done it against top competition, is injury prone, undisciplined, etc etc. My hope is that ten years from now, the irony of EJ being nicknamed Flash will be apparent to all.
