But what does she have to do with Talulah Riley? In any case, I'd take both Talulah Riley and Martha Jones/Freema Agyeman any day. -G
My relatives in England have told me that the next season won't be until 2010Only 3 specials between now and then. Guess it's so David Tennant can do some Shakespeare.
Yeah, he plays the title role while Patrick Stewart plays Claudius in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Hamlet. Supposed to be the hottest ticket of the summer over there.
I'm still catching up to the present on dvd while I work out in the basement. Just wanted to say that I thought "Blink" was one of the best episodes of anything ever.
I'm sad and not about it. I think Tennent is great, and would have been happy if he stayed on for a few more seasons, but four (3 1/2) seasons is a decent run. I liked Eccleston, too, and thought his tenure was (way) too short, but it's hard to fault someone for leaving after giving it four years -- other than Tom Baker, that time frame is similar to most Doctors. I'm interested to see who (and what style/feel change, if any) Moffatt comes up with.
Would have liked for him to do one full season with Moffat, but at least we'll have the specials. No surprise here given that he's always talked about just doing 3-4 seasons like most of the others. Looking forward to seeing the rest of his work on Who. I think it's the Christmas special this year and then four specials in 2009 if I'm correct.
I suppose that Tennant is sticking by the old entertainment-business adage that it's better to leave when everyone will ask "Why are you leaving?" rather than "Why aren't you leaving?" (that's also what Johnny Carson told guest Rosanne during his final week on NBC's The Tonight Show in 1992 when she asked him why he was leaving). -G
