It's getting surreal seeing kids from high schools I know and were close too producing youth national team talent. All except my high school alum it seems.
Another youth call up, this time to the Canadian team. That's got me thinking, any homegrown targets?
It's amazing to see what a little exposure gets this area. The Academy is still just getting going and already they've had huge success getting recognition for players from this area. Going to be interesting to see if this level of success continues and whether we could see a USMT member from Sacramento in 10-15 years time.
Two academy kids are in the finals of the Vaclav Jezek Tournament in the Czech Republic with the National team.
