Years and years of MAGA twats getting tiny little boners over the pain of these people. The avalanche of cruelty that is about to be unleashed will be hard to stomach.
I know the media has been utterly useless in their reporting when it comes to Trump, but this shit is embarrassing.
Also, even if that were true (and it so clearly isn't), Trump should get a ********ing cookie for running a normal campaign (something he did not manage). Like we are giving awards now for only smearing a tiny bit of shit on the walls?
Domestic Enemy Hat Not everyone can fight Trumpism and Trumpists directly. But remember this: kindness, decency, and fidelity to American values are defiance in the face of Trumpism. So be kind, decent, and faithful, particularly to the many kinds of people despised and attacked by Trumpists. That’s revolutionary./1 /2 It’s something anyone can do. Caring about whether something is true or not, and calling out lies, defies Trumpism. Treating people as humans even if Trumpists don’t think they are is defiance of Trumpism. Refusing to hate and revile Trumpists’ targets defies Trumpism. You can do that. https://bsky.app/profile/kenwhite.bsky.social/post/3lg72tg3hd22b
OG Village Person said the current iteration is fake news V.P. WATCH: “THAT’S NOT US… we would never ever perform at a Trump rally or give him the rights.”An original member of The Village People says Trump was dancing on stage to “YMCA” (known as a gay anthem) with NOT the original group, because a lawsuit gave an ex-member the rights. pic.twitter.com/jlsKBXIH0E— The Tennessee Holler (@TheTNHoller) January 20, 2025
I am once again asking people to think within the context of an unleashed second Mango term. Who is going to stop him from doing this? The Trump SCOTUS? Captain Planet? Cthulhu?
Yep. This is right up there with the idiots who are still complaining that "this is not normal". No, all this shit is normal now. Get used to that reality. Because the only thing that saying "this is not normal" does is demonstrate that you have lost touch with present day reality.
Another thought on the "this is not normal" idiots. What's most stupid about that phrase is its implicit supposition: once the "abnormality" stops, we'll simply snap back to "normal". That's not reality. This is our default state. This is now normal. If you want to change that, you can't count on a passive reversion to the status quo ante. This is the status quo. This is what we will passively revert to. Instead, you need to go out and make change and create a "new" normal, which won't be the current status quo, and which won't be the status quo ante. To do that, you need to be able to operate and communicate effectively in this reality. But the "this is not normal" crowd is incapable of operating effectively in this reality.
I remember during the COVID-19 years, people did not want to go "back to normal". People were being paid less than they were during COVID-19, healthcare workers weren't being treated with respect, etc etc.
We got lazy, collectively, falling into the trap of thinking everything that was familiar, would stay familiar, of its own accord.
It IS strange how people that often complain about others not being able to recognise reality, themselves, can't seem to see what's staring them in the face.
Yep. And it explains why "resistance" was always bound to fail. The whole concept of "resistance" is premised on the idea that we will just revert back if we "resist" long enough and hard enough. But that's not the way this works. If you want to change today's normal, then you need transformative change, not "resistance".
