The Refried Presidency: Trump V 2.0 Pretty Hateful Machine/Fossil Fuel Boogaloo

Nah…he’s doing a lot of it. Well…not him. His people. He’s going to create a GoP wonderland. Every stupid policy…regulation lift…every bit of it. Cuts to all of the good things government does. Medicare. Social security. Absolutely everything that have gotten GoP dicks hard for generations is gonna happen. But even the oligarchs need a market. And the racist and fascist shit…with the caveat from above.

 

It will suck worse if he doesn't do as promised. In that case, some folks will be lulled into a sense of "oh, this isn't as bad as they said it would be" while women die and teachers lie.

 

I see the denial or bargaining stages of grief are in full swing now.

 

You can call it that. I’m basing this partially on my observation of Trump’s mental and physical state recently, as he’s increasingly been feeling like a dead man walking. He sure as hell didn’t sound all that excited that he’d won.

 

I hear what you’re saying. But he’s a simpleton. His only goal was to get elected to avoid jail…and get revenge. I just don’t think he gives a shit about the other stuff. Certainly not enough to actually put in the work to do it. And he’s easily bought.

It’s not just us who will be hurt if he wrecks the economy. It’s the very people who own the economy. The billionaires that have bought a scotus and the GOP. They’re gonna be hurt. And again…he’s a cheap buy.

 

He's the oldest president-elect in history and he doesn't exactly take care of himself. Of course he looks like a dead man walking.

What you have to ask is whether or not the people he surrounds himself with are thoughtful and reasonable with our best interests in mind, have their own financial interests in mind, if they are ideologues who insist that their beliefs are right no matter what, etc.

Of course he's a cheap buy, that is not in doubt. I agree China will try to buy him off, as will Russia, Saudi Arabia, etc.
