Um, WTF is this all about?

 

There have been “car-sized” drones spotted repeatedly in recent weeks, most commonly in and around New Jersey and thereabouts but also in other parts of the country. And apparently local authorities including the police have no idea what they are or who is controlling them.

I mostly know about it from watching YouTube videos of local news reports, though it was brought up in Congress recently as well.

 

CNN discussed it yesterday.

I've watched enough disaster movies to just assume it is the start of an alien invasion. And by alien, I mean from another planet.

 

I've watched a few of these videos and a number of these "drones" are just unusual low flying aircraft. At this point, it's likely just the power of suggestion. People are hearing about "drones" and getting motivated to go outside and look at the sky to look for these "drones". It turns out there are routinely all kinds of aircraft flying around that people usually don't even notice. But now they are noticing and taking videos and posting the videos on the internet labelled as "drones," which just perpetuates the cycle of suggestion.

The best way to look at all this is that the incoming admin will make countless U.S. government agencies and departments commit seppuku in terms of the loss of operational abilities and institutional knowledge, an act of vandalism that will probably take a generation to fix, assuming anyone will be incoming any time soon with that intention (not likely).

 

They had four years to destroy him as a political entity and they failed, in spite of the blatant corruption and crime-ing. So this has mostly revealed U.S. institutions and judiciary as woefully incapable of dealing with a Trump like figure. The weird thing is, from an outside perspective, much of it is down to the people who should be doing it not having the stomach for it, which is baffling.

In other news, Trump is suing the Des Moines Times-Register and the woman who posted poll results saying Kamala was ahead a few days before the election.

In normal times, the judge would throw out the case and fine the plaintiff for bringing such a bullshit suit. Hopefully they will fight this and not roll like ABC did.
