I honestly don't know how the incoming administration and the GOP is going to deal with Musk's insanity. If they thought he'd pay up and go away in exchange for regulatory favors and a free pass from the SEC and FTC, they were clearly wrong. If they think he'll be satisfied by having a largely powerless commission to play with and tweet about, they're likely wrong about that, too. Maybe they'll give in to a few of his less extreme and impactful "recommendations" and hope that's enough to placate him? Seems doubtful - Musk thinks that he's the real leader of the country now. I guess that being subject to the whims of just one deranged, narcissistic pervert wasn't enough for them.
If Miller is Goebbels, then Musk is Goring, complete with the drug abuse issue. Wait until Trump spurns Elon and he reacts by taking a suicidal revenge mission to a foreign nation.
WTF is that brown thing with the white(ish) filling on the left? As opposed to the other 2-tone brown thing on the right? Also, is corn meant to be somewhere between orange and brown?

The one good thing about Trump's cabinet is that Lutnick tried to force himself in as Treasury Secretary (because that would be a certain way for him to unleash crypto hell on the world), not only failing but also alienating himself from the administration. He's going to be Commerce secretary, which is far far less important. Musk publicly backed him on Twitter, which might have hurt his position except who reads the thousands of tweets he makes. https://www.foxbusiness.com/politic...lost-his-epic-battle-trumps-treasury-lot-more
Lutnick still appears to be awfully influential behind the scenes to me. He was at Trump's dinner table during Trudeau's recent visit for example. I think DJT chose Bessant to placate the street, something he does actually really care about from a selfish perspective.
I still think he's in trouble. It's likely that a bipartisan bill that has long been worked on to regulate cryptocurrency is going to pass next year (this is something Trump wants - to bring crypto closer to the world of finance). The problem is that Tether can't possibly survive even the most cursory examination and is going to be banned like it was in Europe. Lutnick's job was to land somewhere where he could prevent that, and he didn't. Bessant said "F.. you" to him, and most of the administration seems to now hold that opinion.
So, Trump offers, at some meeting with Trudeau to make Canada the 51st state unless they stop stealing "$100 billion" from the US? What does that even mean? Some kind of trade deficit? Is it ordained we have to have a net positive trade status with every country? I'm not getting the game here with Canada, other than his stupid world view has only winners, or winner, and losers. This is why you don't have a businessman as leader. They aren't understanding of the nature and need of statesmanship. That and he's an idiot.

Trump is not a businessman; he's an idiot con man turned into a cult leader. There's no logic to him or the cult, other than to make himself richer and more powerful.
This won’t play out the way Musk thinks. Eventually..he’ll piss of the wrong person in the administration…up to including Trump himself. He’ll be fired or quit. Hell then try to weaponize twitter in a new war he cannot possibly win. Twitter will be raided and shut down due to national security concerns. SpaceX will be nationalized for the same reason. The NHTSA will force recall after recall on Tesla’s for reasons. Musk will end up ruined and take his place in the leopards thread.
Reporter like "OK, he's not going to approve of Hunter's pardon" then Manchin drops the Trump pardon malarkey
This, 100%. The guy is a complete imbecile and ignorant. He may be cunning and manipulative in some aspects but he is also an absolute moron, not mutually exclusive.
I had to look at wiki to answer this for me. Some interesting people in there. In his role as president of the United States (January 20, 2017 – January 20, 2021), Donald Trump granted executive clemency to 237 individuals charged or convicted of federal criminal offenses, using his clemency power under Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution.
