Firing Squad Leader: "Any last words, Mr. Garland?" Merrick Garland: "But I upheld democratic norms!" Firing Squad Leader: "Ready! Aim..."
I'll actually enjoy the faces being eating to some extent. That's the only way to convince the independent voters that really the two parties are different, egg prices be damned
I'm an upper middle class married white male in the military industrial complex. I should be fine. It's my 16 year old son I worry about. Will he be drafted and die in Iran or Taiwan or Russia? Fighting for the Russians of course.
Look who's shocked by Trump's cabinet picks: https://www.pressherald.com/2024/11...shocked-at-gaetz-attorney-general-nomination/ I'm sure THIS time he'll learn his lesson
I must admit, there is a certain sort of horrible fascination in seeing what lunacy he comes out with although, obviously, it helps that I'm 3,000 miles away and on another continent. Whether that that will save me remains to be seen.
Just reading the latest piece of good news... Republicans secure House majority in yet another blow to Democrats Party has won 218 seats in lower chamber after Democrats unsuccessfully campaigned on need to curtail ‘dysfunction’ Republicans have secured a majority in the US House of Representatives, extending their hold on the lower chamber and delivering a governing trifecta in Washington that could give Donald Trump sweeping power to enact his legislative agenda. There's no excuse for dth to fail this time and when he does the American people will definitely throw him out of office ... which is probably why they won't be asked of course
It seems the fellas at The Bulwark are either slightly miffed or maybe confused... it's hard to tell which. I know @The Jitty Slitter likes them and I agree with a lot of what they're saying here, obviously, but I'm bound to say, I find it hard to take these sorts of people that seriously. I mean, these are the same people who pushed conservative and Libertarian nonsense for years and only now, when we've reached the, (I would say), inevitable endpoint of dissembling and lying to further conservative and libertarian ideals, do they have a problem with it? I get the whole ' more joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth' stuff. Yeah, fair do's I suppose. I'm just not sure I want to rely on people who have been sooo monumentally wrong about things in the past for my guidance now although, obviously, he's certainly an expert on the right-wing.
I did giggle when I came upon this last week: Obama when Trump repeals the 22nd amendment pic.twitter.com/G5MKcA9a8j— Tony (@TwinsSecurity) November 6, 2024 On the note of a Return of the Jedi run by Obama, it's crazy to consider that Obama will still only be 67 in '28, which would make him the youngest presidential candidate since he himself last ran in 2012.
And who is going to throw him out of office. When they control all those avenues. Their, lawyers, their Judges, their decisions. Voting will be like Putin’s 99% wins. You think our vote will be counted?
Got to love the media. NATION & WORLD Trump makes victor’s return to Washington, pledges ‘smooth’ transition of power What he said was “it’ll be as smooth as you can get”
So Gaetz resigning from Senate right away might have had a purpose. Since he is not longer a part of Congress, the ethics committee doesn't have jurisdiction over him and the report won't be made public.
