What a moron.... Donald Trump drops trade agreement documents and claims to have a trade deal with the European Union, even though the deal is with the UK https://www.threads.com/@aaronparna...QF0_AcnYC9eQNImShwnk6cuv2gKZGTKUvktGcvP65quuw
Had a busy day so I’m behind…so apologies if someone already addressed this….but I’m about 90% positive that in Minnesota murder 1 has to be through a grand jury indictment. That will come.
We can figure it out. We have figured it out. The problem is we keep electing republicans who stop all these things from happening.
The drunk Fox News host claims her commentary during the Trump parade was cut short because of intermittent internet. Lulz. The official reports said 250,000 showed up for the parade. More lulz.
Meh. https://apnews.com/live/donald-trump-news-updates-6-16-2025 To me, he misspoke. He knew who he was with as you can see in the video I linked (I assume it's still there as it's the AP live feed). So it's not like he was being his normal buffoon or intentionally over stating things, or outright lying. Yeah, maybe he though the UK is in the EU, but this is the kind of thing that I think gets too much mockery when it could have been just a mistake. It's not like he called PM Starmer the PM of Europe, our outright said that the UK was in the EU. Either of those would have been a clown show of normal proportions.
I agree...he's just a fucking idiot. Plus, that deal was signed at the WH like a month ago and was a tax break on Rolls Royce engines if i am not mistaken.
You know, we need more conservative type posters like you. I can occasionally agree with you on somethings and I fully agree with this. Also I would like to know why we can never fix the FMLA act to work properly.
No, I upset they don't this regardless of the culprit. They fear for their lives against a black kid with a toy gun but bring the utmost professionalism against a proven and armed killer. I just want a higher standard of professionalism and it to be at all PDs in the country.
Another clear example of his stupidity. This is the difference between the right and the left. Had Biden made all these errors, FOX News, NewsMax, OANN, CNN's Scott Jenning and Jake Tapper and all the right wing influencers would be pounding on him 24/7 - relentlessly, and the feeble minded that don't know better would be eating it up. With Trump, it doesn't fucking matter. PUTIN WAS KICKED OUT OF G8 in 2014 WHEN HE ANNEXED CRIMEA. TRUDEAU WAS ELECTED IN 2015.THANK YOU FOR THE ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. pic.twitter.com/I7zhmGU6q3— Olga Nesterova (@onestpress) June 16, 2025
We don’t have European style safety nets because neither American party cares much about the working class. They both take their respective working class voters for granted, and this country’s unique racial dynamics have prevented the rise of an actual labor party.
My point is that a situation like this is such an outlier, that there’s no point in comparing it to a more mundane encounter between cops and a suspect. The officers who were looking for this guy were at the top tier of police competence. They weren’t going to get twitchy and start shooting.
Fair enough, I concede they had their best guys and the best of swat. Not to mention, they desperately wanted him alive.
They fear for their lives against a black kid with a toy gun but bring the utmost professionalism against a proven and armed killer.
I get what you are saying-- but "they" in these cases are not "they" in any meaningful sense. Not the same people in the uniforms. In much of the 19th century, when police forces were first being formed, there was a great tendency to hire people straight out of prison; Pat Garrett is probably the most famous example, but far from the only. I think the theory was A. that they knew how and where the bad guys operated and B. they were mean enough and tough enough to actually discourage them. There are, of course some obvious drawbacks to this approach. But all of that is simply true, honest. You can look it up. I do not know, have never seen research on, but I strongly suspect that, post-Civil War a rather large number of ex-Confederate soldiers of somewhat flawed character became LEOs for want of any better prospects; and between the two drives, I think the momentum was set which we are still struggling with today. For a hundred and fifty years, when probies break into the profession, it isn't necessarily the best and the brightest and the most professional doing the breaking in on them. I'm also not entirely sure that steroids, amphetamines, and opioids aren't making a substantial contribution to the problem, as well. Achievement drugs are not necessarily judgement drugs y'know...
Nonviolent protests that involve at least 3.5% of the population always achieve change. https://www.hks.harvard.edu/centers/carr/publications/35-rule-how-small-minority-can-change-world
MAGA supporters split on whether Trump should follow court rulings You'd think the party of "Law and Order!!!" would want him to...oh...oh wait.
The parade was an undeniable success.. the celebration of the Armys 250th has resulted in the parade being the darling of social media.. the laughter and ridicule directed at our proud military is just icing on the cake.. yes it was planned for over 3 years but the original plans was for events for the military to interact and show its history to the community in various locations.. the orange idiot said “nuts to that, parade for me”… the man is a well of ideas.. too bad its the well of an outhouse
