If everyone is bribing Trump, then is it really bribery? I get the impression that's where they're going with his. If he's so corrupt that it's bribery everywhere, then it all just cancels out. Meanwhile, this one time Obama wore a tan suit.
They're probably making a mess of some pretty big ones as well. This is part of the problem. Truth is that Trump#s never really run a successful business in the long term and, no... running scams and grifts where he sells the rights to stick his name on something isn't running a business'. It's duping rubes out of their cash based on a ridiculous sales pitch from a TV show. Everything else he's done he's made a complete balls of.
In some ways no in some ways better than American, but at a price point (if allowed) no American company can compete with.
I think Trump is pretty good about rewarding those that give. To give one recent example, Scale AI gave $125,000 to Trump's inauguration fund. Trump named ScaleAI executive as director to the Office of Science and Technology Policy and a Labor Department investigation has just been dropped, as has cases against two of ScaleAI's partners. This has happen 131 times so far.
Same thing with non-American companies (Toyota, Hyundai, VW, Stellantis, etc) I would assume. I also wonder if our energy grid could sustain a wholesale shift to budget EVs were barriers dropped and an explosion of Chinese EVs flooded the market.
By the time they retrofit that gaudy thing with everything the current AF1 has and requires, it will be the middle of the next President's term.
Her NASA underdog story was erased from the website and then she was canned not long after People see me now, and they just assume, 'oh, she had it easy,'" she says, but Rose Ferreira has had it anything but easy. The trajectory of her life has been so turbulent, in fact, that NASA, her previous employer, published a feature article about her determination on its website. That story chronicles her journey from a poverty-stricken childhood in the Caribbean and years living unhoused, to pursuing her education and rising to become a NASA intern, which ultimately led to working at the space agency full-time. In January, that article vanished from NASA's website. As an onslaught of executive orders and directives signed by President Donald Trump sent federal agencies into a frenzy of program cancellations and mass layoffs, NASA's acting administrator Janet Petro began aligning the agency with the White House's new laws of the land. That included eliminating any office or program associated with diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives... ...Ferreira was declared pneumonia-free on Feb. 21, a Friday, and given her doctor's approval to go back to work. She returned the following Monday. On Wednesday — 20 days after she first posted about her NASA page being taken down — she was fired. She said she immediately knew what was happening when she walked into her weekly one-on-one with her supervisor; the meeting had an unexpected attendee. An HR representative rose from a seat in the corner as Ferreira entered the office. She was told she was being let go because she wasn't fulfilling her position's responsibilities, "effective immediately." "When I was about to open my mouth, she waved her hand at me, and was like, 'No, we're not doing that,'" Ferreira said. "I'm hearing ringing in my head." "They didn't let me speak in my own meeting." https://www.space.com/space-explora...-to-scrub-it-from-the-internet-then-fired-her
Well, it's well known racists arenot breeding (fast) enough. So, next best is importing them. Remember Verwoerd got the idea of Apartheid (Afrikaans for segregation) when he as a young man toured the USA. So it's a bit of bringing the offspring of the converts to the Original Spring.
Customs duties from tariffs totaled $16.3 billion for the month of April, some 86% above the $8.75 billion collected during March and more than double the $7.1 billion a year ago.
How on earth can you allow it from security pov, even with retrofit. You don't know what the Qatari fiddled with it.
It has none of the comms, survivability gear, refueling, upgraded engines and landing gear, etc., etc., etc. I can't imagine them allowing it, but then again, there's a lot about this administration I couldn't have imagined a few months ago.
My imagination says that he will have his own pilot fly it as the air force won't allow theirs to fly it.
I think it's already been normalized. But nobody's been listening to me on this point: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/t...l-fuel-boogaloo.2133203/page-67#post-42750161 https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/t...l-fuel-boogaloo.2133203/page-67#post-42750178
This is the thing that someone's going to tell Trump "no" on? He's surrounded himself with yes-men and sycophants. Some person with actual military knowledge is going to go to Pete Ginbreath and say "no, the President can't fly on that until x, y, z happen" and Pete is going to go "President wants, President gets" and override the military guy. So for the low, low price of a slightly used Boeing 747, Qatar just bought access to everything anyone says on that airplane.
Why are you calling me Ignored Content if you’re not ignoring me? That said, I never stated or implied it was the whole “trade story”. You sure are getting angsty over some basic information being shared.
