Ok, I see you guys are arguing with a fascist over 86. He doesn’t mean anything, at least not in the sense I mean it when I say MAGA is a fascist movement. I believe that to be true. Je doesn’t believe Comey was threatening Trump with death. Nobody believes that, literally. No, what he “believes” is that he can troll us by pretending to believe it. Why are folks here willingly playing a fascist game with fascist rules? You can’t win that game.
Leftists and people like Tlaib just want to come across as virtuous for the sake of it. Anyway, I look forward to the day Dems start punching them.
In a fantasy world, Vance would remember who he was when he though Trump was "America's Hitler" and shit can MAGA and all the Trumpers. Like I said, it's a fantasy. That said, it would be interesting to see what the MAGA base would do when Trump is gone. Would they insist on Uday as VP? Would Congressional republicans find a few vertebrae?
And to take this a step further, J Biden got criticized from the right because he had an independent (non-Democrat) person prosecute Hunter, and yet the charges were not as drastic as they hoped. Subsequently, J Biden pardoned Hunter and was criticized by right, and some on the left*. Yet, there is nothing from the right when he pardoned people who were charged and convicted of violent offenses during Jan 6. And people also know that since Trump is transactional, they can commit crimes (federal) and get a pardon as long as they "donate" enough money. * - IMO, the criticism from the left was fair, but I also think J Biden was right because Trump is vindictive, and the DOJ has shown to be acting in that direction.
Trump having a particularly epic meltdown this morning on Truth Social. He's all over the map. Thus far, he's rage belated about: Powell and interest rates The supreme Court The 2020 election Autopen Ukraine, Russia, etc.. Walmart and tariffs (a particular doozy) A stable genius indeed
The base, the hardcore, yes. That will be interesting. My guess is a lot would look to the replacement, and become disappointed. The wildcard, I think, would be how much the hate for Dems would drive their voting turnout. Not really anybody else close. Well, close as in who can run. Musk would be a good replacement for them, but he's ineligible. The only replacements I can think of are: 1) Jr. - too much coke. 2) Bondi - Female 3) Noem - Female Nope. They have Johnson and Thune, both MAGA. Well, I wouldn't call Johnson MAGA as he is too dedicated to his version of the Bible.
Oh, you can't? It's always that "damend if you do, damned if you don't" thing with Trumpanzees. If you ignore they'll spout trash unchallenged. If you berate & belittle, you may end up sinking to their level of amoeba-ness. But bullies & asswipes in power deserve to be dickpunched at every opportunity IMO. I can't tell you what I've dreamt about doing to Steven Miller, Roger Stone or Bannon alone in a basement bunker. Think Pulp Fiction.
Sorry for the tweet (from a rando). It has video. 🚨JUST IN: Trump really said Powell won’t cut rates because he’s “not in love” with him. That’s where we’re at, monetary policy now hinges on whether the Fed chair finds Trump emotionally irresistible. We’re living in a parody of a reality show hosted by a felon. pic.twitter.com/aMXg2GMOja— Brian Allen (@allenanalysis) May 17, 2025 Brian Allen @allenanalysis JUST IN: Trump really said Powell won’t cut rates because he’s “not in love” with him. That’s where we’re at, monetary policy now hinges on whether the Fed chair finds Trump emotionally irresistible. We’re living in a parody of a reality show hosted by a felon. Trump actually says "I think he doesn't want to do it, probably, he's not, he's not in love with me." That is some wannabe dictator shit right there.
What he said: "I was wrong." What he meant: "I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere without das booten kissen." When he's gone? Oh that's a hell of an assumption. There'll definitely be a faction of them who'll think it's the deep state (which meant he failed to drain the swamp and he'll need more time) or they'll think it's Trump in a body suit.
Ew. I mean, you know what those guys did with their prisoners in the basement in Pulp Fiction, don't you? Marcellus Wallace didn't want anyone to know, to the point where he let Bruce Willis go free in exchange for his silence. That's, like, the last thing I imagine doing to those guys in a basement.
Ummmm isn’t Ted Cruz a birthright citizen? https://t.co/k67mxdnIU1— Wu Tang is for the Children (@WUTangKids) May 16, 2025
No he’s not. He was born in Canada. Birthright citizenship is like Yunus Musah. Born in NYC when his mother was on “vacation.” (Like a pregnant woman typically takes a trip to another continent for an extended stay.)
Dems already punch left. Look at Hogg, look at how Schumer talk about the progrssives. Have you heard Federman speak. All these lying phukkers talked about how bad he would be. He wins and rather than say no, they agree to the CR and talk about working with the president where they can and all this bullshit. You want more of this spineless weakwilled stuff be my guest. PS: I get it, I get you don't plan on inviting Tlaib to Eid dinner but she and her supporters are not single handedly responsible for Trump winning. Also as a minority, it is not easy to have your cause be sidelined. Kids were being bombed and Palastine destroyed and the Dems beyond quiet for fear of losing the Jewish vote, I think. I don't know why they were.
If you want to be technical, every non-naturalized US citizen is a birth right citizen because every non-0naturalized US citizen is a citizen because at least one parent was a US citizen (jus sanguine), they were born on US soil (jus soli), or both. Trump and Republicans want to end/modify the practice of jus soli and to only grant citizenship to kids of US Citizens, or legal, longterm residents that are born on US soil. Of course, there is the question of what a legal longterm resident is.. does that mean green card holders only, or would someone with refugee status, work visa, or student visa count.
Yes, He is. Birthright citizenship is defined as citizenship granted by being born on US soil (just soli), and/or being born and at least one parent is a US citizen. By definition, every non-naturalized US citizen is a birth right citizen.
YouGov polling on some of Trumps policies. Not great results for Democrats. YouGov shows support for Trump’s trans policies: banning trans women in sports (+39), bathroom by birth sex (+24), gender care under 19 (+22), and defunding universities (+10).Though weaker approval on visa sex ID (+2), military (–4), and cutting the LGBT suicide hotline (–21) pic.twitter.com/oD6ZUgSg9C— Hunter📈🌈📊 (@StatisticUrban) May 16, 2025
When I'm buying a $6 carton of eggs or watching my 401(k) melt, I always think "dang, I'm glad that there's no trans in the military now"
Of course, all it would really mean is there are no trans people being authentic in the military. Like gays they will still be there, just not openly. These witch-hunts always have fear and intimidation as the de facto goal.
I'm not really surprised. Trans people have been vilified very much the same way that gay people were vilified in the 1980s (and even still today). It isn't really about inclusion, it is about exclusion because of some sex thing the right imagines will happen, and it filters to those on the left.
