If you weren't paying attention to politics the last couple years, just google "Biden DoJ cases against Trump". It's not hard to find. Democrats normalized lawfare, and now they're melting down over that normalization being realized.
Hopefully they gather the evidence and can get to the bottom of it. If it turns out it wasn't an actual threat, then we're all good.
86 is a restaurant term to be out of something or a customer who needs to be tossed out. So no, he won't be prosecuted.
Lots of times coaches will bitch about why their team seems to be getting so many more fouls called than the other team, as if there's an intrinsic balance that should be maintained. Your players are the ones fouling, coach. This is more often a monologue than a dialogue. The DoJ under Biden prosecuted Trump because he committed crimes, and was by the way free entirely from the political hackery that Bondi barfs out. My god anybody who thinks Garland was overly zealous about anything should be 86'd.
In retrospect, the TV show "Get Smart!" from the 1960s was a dark action series with political overtones, with Don Adams' character, Agent 86, as an amoral killing machine, since that's what 86 has always meant.
If that were really true, Trump would have been charged not long after the Jan 6th attempted insurrection.
Also, Democrats wanted Trump in jail because he tried to stay in power after he was rejected by the voters. He tried to stay by lying sand cheating and committing fraud. People spread their shit on the walls of the Capitol because of him. They didn't want him in jail just because he was the GOP President.
The old story was that 86'ing originated in the Old West. Their method of cutting someone off was to only give them the weak whiskey that was 86 proof. No idea whether it's true, but it is repeated as truth in the service industry.
Where does 86'd/86ing/etc come from? This should clear things up. https://www.stlmag.com/dining/Ask-George-Where-Does-the-Term-86d-Come-From/
https://www.npr.org/2025/05/16/nx-s1-5401008/doge-gao-congress DOGE tried assigning a team to the Government Accountability Office. It refused But the U.S. Government Accountability Office, a legislative branch entity that helps audit government spending and suggest ways to make it more efficient, rejected that request on Friday by noting that GAO is not subject to presidential executive orders. ... The GAO regularly releases reports that highlight ways to improve government efficiency, like a May 13 review of federal programs with fragmented, overlapping, or duplicative actions it says could save over $100 billion in spending. But there's been little overlap between GAO's work and DOGE's actions so far. GAO to Musk: Kick rocks.
You're lying. The term "to be 86'd" is so common the thought that you've never heard of it means you are either living in your Mom's basement or you're lying. Which is it?
86 is such a beautiful number. No one knew what it meant, but I decided to give it a meaning. And now everyone is using and saying “you better 86 this” or “86 that”…
