If you do a bigsoccer search, I have mentioned this several times before in the past 7-8 months. Most recently, after the May tornadoes in Kentucky.

Having said that, SOMETHING did not go right. In the multiple stories that I read, buried in the middle of an article was 2 sentences mentioning meteorologists whose job is to disseminate that information took the DOGE buyout, instead of being forced out. This was at 2 Texas NWS stations.

It's a complicated problem to solve between public perception of a forecast, warning dissemination, warning systems on phones/weather radios/sirens/alarms... Were the warnings received? What got in the way of their delivery? Were they widely seen but brushed off? So many questions that will hopefully get answered in the days/weeks/months ahead once things settle.
