I hope there was deserved booing at the press conference.

I keep hoping you'll go away, but you never do. I guess we're both doomed to disappointment.

The Union crest does not need anyone to explain it - the design components are self evident if you know basic US history

The SC logo is UGLY - and now that I read about it - STUPID

Paraphrasing last nights post a bucket of dung by any other name would smell as foul

The first thing my wife said upon seeing the logo? She looked at the SC and asked "Where's the K?"

    No.

He's telling you to go away. Away from the Kansas City board.

There's a perfectly good - nearly identical - conversation on the MLS N&A board.

Go there. Stay there. You don't go house to house in your neighborhood, barge into the living room and complain about the carpet, sofa, and drapes do you?

Well that's what you're doing here. We're asking you to leave.

    Wizards til I die
    Wizards til I die
    I know I am, I'm sure I am
    I'm Wizards til I die.

To paraphrase the social philosopher Bartholomew J. Simpson, these words were not something one chants mindlessly, they were an oath of devotion.

I'm saddened by the change and the loss of history and tradition. I strongly dislike the mark. I feel these were unnecessary changes.

That being said, I'll renew my season tickets and attend every game I'm able. But rather than pump me up for next season (as if that was needed because I'm already over the moon about the new stadium), I instead feel as if some of air has been let out of the balloon.

I purposely wore a scarf tonight that had Wizards 'Till I Die on it. As I told people there, to me this is not just a phrase/saying.

That's not to say I don't support the team going forward, I most certainly do. But they will always be the Wizards to me.

This was not a good rebrand in my opinion.

    1. Yet another navy and powder blue team. There's already plenty of these, why add another? Especially when the new colors are almost identical to what Vancouver is busting out next year.

    2. Placement of the wordmarks was very poor. It gives the appearance that the team's name isn't Sporting KC, but rather Kansas City Sporting SC. In fact, why is there an interlocking SC? For Sporting Club? Sporting Portugal even has it in the proper order.

    3. The rounded shape of the shield looks kind of awkward.

    4. Bland, bland, bland. There's just nothing interesting going on.

The one good thing I have to say about the logo is that it at least looks better than the old wordmark logo. But that's about it.

    Wrong, Vancouver colors are different.

I think 3 years from now everyone won't care about this.

And that stadium is going to rock.

You're coming off uninformed since points two and three were addressed in some form last night by Robb. Here's video I took last night of him explaining the parts. (Now I'm not saying I'll fully agree with each of these points.)

If you look at it a little harder, the shape might remind you of a certain former logo...

Just go to the website and read what they have before making uninformed posts.

Now that they haven't replaced you, what is the point of you not being a mod? Couldn't you just ignore the fact you were a mod until opportune times like when a thread is officially dead but not closed or when someone questions the honor of your wife or something?

    Just sayin'

My online time is much more limited nowadays, my resignation of being a mod is for that reason. I just happen to be on this morning as I am waiting for a guy to do a repair at my house.
