In early February, Carlo Ancelotti was asked if he has spoken to Rodrygo about his goalscoring drought. The boss answered: "I will never do that. Never. I have been taught that if you tell someone 'think of all animals except the cat, they will think of the cat'."He delivered… pic.twitter.com/rVrZojmnxz— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) April 19, 2024
Very nice from Carlo. It’s well known theory from Psychology called: Ironic process Theory or The white bear phenomenon https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironic_process_theory
Funny when I was a sales director until recently, my bosses always wanted me to put the struggling sales reps under rigorous action plans and trainings. I kept telling them that. Reminding that they suck is not gonna help. we can do trainings but it has to be for everyone. Singling them out is only gonna make them doubt themselves even more. it’s a basic concept that they didn’t understand
We can probably afford to rest both our fullbacks. Mendy and Dani are absolutely crucial against Bayern. I wouldn't risk them this weekend. We can find a way without them.
🚨 Real Madrid and Ferland Mendy will hold talks very soon. A contract extension is set to be offered. The player is very happy at the club and will have to make a decision. @lequipe #rmalive pic.twitter.com/tYDqV8PLgD— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) April 21, 2024
L'equipe usually know what they're talking about when it comes to French players. I really hope it's true. He was sorely missed against Barca at the weekend.

Yea. BBQ party at Guler's house on Monday. Carlo btw said Guler will play more in upcoming La Liga games in post match conference yesterday.
I just mentioned this in another post, before reading this. You see it in the celebrations and in the way a lot of the players interact with the fans during the game. It’s definitely something extra this squad has. And as good as some of our previous teams have been, it makes supporting them a bit more fun.

Stadium sound design is so crucial. People really don't take it as serious as they should and it often leads to unexpected results.
I'm not the only one thinking it then. It seems these players genuinely want to celebrate with the fans as they are fans themselves. Great to see that connection.
Vini and Rodrygo ran off the bench to celebrate after Jude’s goal. Not the team but with the fans. I love it, and it seems to come mostly from Vinicius. Jude has that connection too, but I think this has stemmed from Vini
Yea, I remember Vini celebrating with fans during the first home game when fans were allowed back in the stadium after 1.5 years of Covid restrictions. It's been a feature ever since.
"The Brazil winger couldn't contain his emotions, jumping over the pitchside advertising hoardings -- and breaching COVID protocols in the process -- to celebrate with fans in the lower tier" https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/37620665/best-day-my-life
Rüdiger: "Facing Bayern Munich? I think it will be difficult to choose the clear candidate to win the tie. Bayern are a very big team and the match will be on equal terms. There is Harry Kane, but he is not alone. They have Musiala, Leroy Sane, who I hope will be in good shape to… pic.twitter.com/g76VM7AZC5— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) April 24, 2024
