Bruno needs to be a starter for Raul. Raul has a great squad this year, maybe even too good if Arribas stays. This is his audition for the first team job.
🚨| La Liga held an assembly to inform club about deal with EA Sports etc. Barcelona didn’t send any representatives & delegated it’s votes to Real Madrid — who in turn, sent the Super League lawyers on their behalf. @marca— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) August 4, 2022
EA Sports will be releasing the new game as "EA Sports FC 24" and they have therefore lost all the licensing they get from the FIFA Banner and will have to license each league individually. Interesting to see how the club is still sending the Super League lawyers on all long term deals.
EA is taking over naming rights for La Liga from Santander apparently. https://www.sportspromedia.com/news/la-liga-santander-title-sponsorship-naming-rights-deal-22-23/
I don't think that's the case at all. They've just lost the right to use "FIFA" in the game. They still have all the rights they had previously.
EA lost the licence to use the name, not the rights to the club kits, name etc. which is a completely separate agreement.
It looks like Premier Sports will be televising most of the La Liga games for the season ahead, in the UK & Ireland. This is good news as they broadcast on Sky and Virgin TV, as well as offering an online streaming service for the channels as well. The only issue is that it will cost 10 pounds a month, but that's not too bad given that they are likely to broadcast every Madrid La Liga game.
I already have IPTV, in one of the bedrooms. It's also great for travelling, but it's just not the same at home!
On a huge screen, 65 inch plus, you can see compression in the picture quality. I also need to record matches quite often and watch them back. It's not always possible to do this on IPTV.
To be fair, I find most legit streaming to be of poor quality and no where near what they show off in the previews at the store. I swear the "UHD" legit streaming is not even as good as the in store HD demos they had 16 years ago. The IPTV I use, on a 55inch, does have a UHD option which looks pretty indistinguishable from the legit apps.
You can get yourself a Nvidia Shield with built in flash storage or hook up a HDD to it and record iptv to that. The IPTV I use lets me set a path and records to it when I want on demand or even schedule it for later.
I’m lucky enough, job wise, to be able to afford Satellite TV and all of the sports channels, so I use IPTV as a secondary option. But I do have 2 pretty good IPTV providers, so will look into the whole recording functionality.
It’s not even about that for me. I could easily pay what Sky / Virgin want but I refuse on principle. It’s a joke how much they can charge people and it goes up each year.
I have no qualms paying for La Liga coverage, you get to watch almost every single Madrid league game. So it ends up being very good value for money. BT Sports (for the CL) and Sky Sports are become more and more extortionate with every season.
La Liga coverage ain’t bad, however, I find myself watching the US feeds because I can’t stand the commentators doing the UK coverage. Same for CL coverage, I’ll watch other feeds before UK
Good shout. One of the biggest issues I have is not being able to record shows. Wonder if I can with my current provider.
