The original reporting was in The WSJ. “Federal marshals put Gomez in handcuffs and told her she was under arrest for intervening in an active investigation, the Wall Street Journal reported.”
in the US you can get sued for farting ffs. why has nobody ever tried suing Ted Cruz (to name one of many) for enabling / conspiring with these mass murderers? even if it's a legal stretch, get him + the issue in the media on a regular basis.
The gun that the shooter used was made by a manufacturer based in Georgia, Daniel Defense. This is one of their advertisements. (Wanna follow the money and guess which of Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker it will contribute to in the upcoming senatorial election in November?)
It's a nice idea, but it would open up a weird can of worms - everyone suing politicians for not passing what we (some section of us) deem to be sensible laws, the lacking of which adversely affected (allegedly) the plaintiffs....
They keep doing this kind of stupid stupid stuff in gun circles. A 9yr (i think it was 9) old girl, died of a bullet to the head some years back - get this insanity - after her father and a gun-show dealer had her fire a loaded Uzi and the automatic kick power was too strong and caused the weapon to upturn and shoot upwards.....
I'm not sure what kind of building this school was in, but weren't there windows in that classroom? Was a door really the only access point?
was wondering the same thing - I have never seen / heard of a classroom that has zero windows. at minimum they could have looked in and seen WTF had happened / was happening?
There were windows in the door also. But, and this sounds like something from a Mel Brooks film, when the police got to the door of the classroom, they found it locked. So they went back out and tried to find someone who had the key.
Fair enough, it’s from 2015 but it’s from his own hand. MOAR GUNNS! Yeah, that’s it. I'm EMBARRASSED: Texas #2 in nation for new gun purchases, behind CALIFORNIA. Let's pick up the pace Texans. @NRA https://t.co/Ry2GInbS1g— Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) October 28, 2015
What's really interesting is that good old blue state California - with all their restrictive laws - led the nation in gun sales in 2015.
Video: 9-year-old girl accidentally kills gun instructor with Uzi (police1.com) (FYI the video cuts off at the right time)
Two years after a 9-year-old killed her shooting instructor with an Uzi, his family has filed a lawsuit - The Washington Post But the pro-gun advocates added that, when done safely, there are benefits to teaching even very young children to shoot certain guns. Youngsters learn hand-eye coordination. They learn what to do if they stumble upon a weapon on the playground. And they learn how to defend themselves if they are ever attacked. Hand eye? Maybe try ping pong? Stumble upon a weapon in the playground? Maybe have less of the things so they don't get abandoned willy nilly? And how is teaching them how to shoot the things teaching them the right thing to do if they find one in the playground? Surely what they should be taught is "under no circumstances touch the thing and immediately tell an responsible adult"? Learn to defend themselves if attacked? Sure, let's all let rip with Uzis. What could go wrong?
need a name change to National Hypocrites Association. shame they've banned guns though - I'd just love it if someone smuggled one in and started a firefight.
