Here’s another leftish conspiracy for you.

from a post in another thread last night.

So, Mike Flynn was due to be sentenced to jail time this week. But our AG Bill Barr has installed a cohort of his Tim Shea to take over the prosecuting side of his case. The man who has been on this job since the beginning Brandon Van Grack has gone, nobody knows where or why.
Well why we’ll know soon. Flynn’s sentencing has been postponed indefinitely!

    Well color me shocked...!!!

Oh and keep your eye on the Stone case. He’s up for sentencing also with a recommendation of 7-9 years. Trump has already expressed “very unfair” comment.

I'll admit that the economy is seemingly good and the average, middle class American probably isn't struggling currently. However, don't conflate that with this being normal. There is nothing normal about our current political landscape. You can't deny that, no matter how much you love Trump, he literally lies about everything. Even stupid shit that he doesn't need to lie about. How can you trust someone like that to lead the free world?

John Oliver was funny on Colbert. Colbert who is like your average clueless yank about sawker asked John about Liverpool. So he tells him about the first time he went with his dad at 8 years old. He wore his full red uniform socks pads and boots under his street clothes. His rational was, if we ran out of subs and they called into the crowd with an appeal for a player ready to step up. He’d be able to yell or squeak. I am, I am.

Ah, coffee and Colbert in the morning.

    How about some simple facts.

    Trump University.
    Trump Foundation.

    That alone should be enough.

No, they get their facts straight from the Orange guys mouth. How could that be wrong. How could we dispute that?

President Trump made 16,241 false or misleading claims in his first three years

Three years after taking the oath of office, President Trump has made more than 16,200 false or misleading claims — a milestone that would have been unthinkable when we first created the Fact Checker’s database that analyzes, categorizes and tracks every suspect statement he has uttered.

We started this project as part of our coverage of the president’s first 100 days, largely because we could not possibly keep up with the pace and volume of the president’s misstatements. We recorded 492 claims — an average of just under five a day — and readers demanded that we keep it going for the rest of Trump’s presidency.

    This actually stuns me.

“I don't believe for a second that he did make such a quid pro quo offer,”

Despite what you(May have) heard from several independent witnesses. About Trump holding up money for much needed help against Putin’s aggression unless there was an inquiry opened against Biden.
You either got your info from Fox or you’re being deliberately obtuse.

those witnesses have all had their heads mounted on pikes now because they told the Truth.

Trump is publicly praising Barr for interfering with the DOJ prosecutors in the Stone case, all 4 of whom have (to their credit) resigned in disgust.

wingtips/stilton: do you think it's OK for a President to overrule the criminal justice process?

no president has ever behaved the way Trump does so we don't know if a Dem president would do the same.

the fear is -- if he continues to get away with it, it WILL become normal and the US will no longer be recognizable as a democracy that operates under the rule of law.

He's technically the head of the process and his people can follow his directives - or resign if they don't like them. Nothing wrong here.

(Let' remember, Clinton FIRED every USAtty on day one. FIRED. For no reason other than they were all put in place by a republican. The precedent was set by that - Trump isn't the first pres to get involved in the DOJ.)

If he were participating in such over the top subterfuge, wouldn't he have just quashed the trial from the get go?

He also has the power to simply pardon him. Would that be an impeachable offense, too?

I love how you're attacking me.

I never once in my rant quoting Sam said I supported Trump. I just said that the over the top conspiracy theories have to f*cking stop. They are outright lies - and they do nothing to help the democracy you all claim to so desperately want to protect. They only further enrage the populace for no good reason other than to gin up support so you can obtain power.

Why are you not railing against the dems for not renouncing socialism on stage, in the middle of a public debate? That would KILL the way of life that has been the standard around here for ~350 years.

Why aren't you railing against EVERY candidate that has said they're going to pack the SCOTUS simply because they aren't in the majority now? Talk about running roughshod over an institution in plain daylight.

Both sides say crazy shit - yes, even the dems. And yes, Trump has a problem with the truth (there, I said it. Happy? Will you say something similar about the left? Can't criticise your own side? I'd settle for mild appreciation instead of the effusive praise for every word that comes out of their collective mouth).
