Last seen in a bit part as a 'cockney geezer' character in some crappy upcoming movie. 'Wooden' is the most charitable way to describe his performance.
Bobby George only does exhibitions. He's the BDO 'King of the qualifiers', these post relates to the PDC. btw, Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has been given the persona of 'Dark Dudley Destroyer' and got a few tips from John 'Darth Maple' Part and Phil 'The Power' Taylor; http://www.planetdarts.co.uk/article.asp?id=138086&Nv=1
It's been a while since this thread was updated, now with the Las Vegas Desert Clasic on I just had to bring it up again; http://www.planetdarts.co.uk/article.asp?id=153366
I've watched a lot of the Desert Classic after coming back from the beach the last three days. It's been totally enthralling. I remember watching some darts over 10 years ago when I was living in Holland, but I haven't seen a match since. Maybe FSW will show more tournaments in the future. I've enjoyed what I've seen.
Part beat Taylor again, but he came unstuck to Peter 'One Dart' Manley who usualy gets stuffed in a final (The difference between this final and others was he wasn't against Taylor). http://www.planetdarts.co.uk/article.asp?id=153497&Nv=1 Despite that, John's my man. Go Part Go!
A little late on this thread, but I watched the Desert Classic quite a bit too. First time I actually watched darts honestly. Quite entertaining...maybe it was the SkySports PBP guys. They had me laughing alot. I think they are doing the commentry for the World Pool Championships too on FSW too.
Now Taylor has finaly beaten Part since Part became World Champion in preparation for the Stan James World Matchplay; http://www.planetdarts.co.uk/article.asp?id=156358&Nv=1 Another point is, in Last Year's World Matchplay Taylor did the first 9 Dart Finish (minimum number of darts you can finish a game in) in the PDC's history. He got 100,000 quid. This year, there's a Mercedes available for anyone who can do it in this Year's World Matchplay; http://www.planetdarts.co.uk/article.asp?id=156286 Go Part Go.
Now there's the World Matchplay. Part's out but 'The Power' is through to the semis. http://www.planetdarts.co.uk/article.asp?id=157115&Nv=1
