Thanks. Marcin Kus signed with the R's on a six month loan from Polonia Warsaw with "a view to signing a permanent deal."

It appears the 24-year-old has one cap for Poland (plus a recent game in a Poland B-team side). He can play either as a right back or in central defense.

my bad about Kus. He's actually from Lech Poznan, not Polonia Warsaw as sky sports says

Thanks. The QPR official site says Polonia Warsaw, too. Might they own his contract?

im not sure. But its a big difference, sine polonia is last in the league, and lech is third. By the way, Kus is faily young at 24, and he has been called up for two games, against Belgium and New Zealand. He was a very highly touted prospect for the Polish NT, until he got a severe injury. Hes starting to come back to the way he played before now and if he does fully regain his form, he will be quite the player.

    Permanent moves out for two:

Marcus Bean has moved to Blackpool on a free transfer with a sell-on clause through which the R's would get a percentage of a future sale of Bean.

Adam Miller has moved to Stevenage Borough, also on a free with a sell-on clause. It sounded like Miller was going to go to Oxford, but has instead dropped to Conference football with the promotion-chasing Stevenage.

Ian Holloway went to Northern Ireland to scout Linfield striker Peter Thompson. Thompson's Linfield squad is 17-1-0 this season. Linfield turned down a £50,000 offer from Gretna, but his manager says they're willing to let anyone go play full-time football. Barnsley manager Andy Ritchie was also there to scout Thompson.

Thompson scored 27 goals in 50 games last season and this season has scored 32 goals in 35 games!

The R's have signed 29-year-old Danish forward Sammy Youssouf to a six-month contract. According to Soccerbase, he was most recently playing for a club called Maritimo in Portugal. According to the same site, his only previous experience in the UK was a five-game stretch with St. Johnstone in Scotland in which he scored one goal back in the second half of the 01/02 season.

Also from Wolves... striker Leon Clarke has come over on loan from Wolves for the remainder of the season. As with Lowe, he will not be allowed to play against Wolves.

The 20-year-old scored 8 goals for Wolves last season, but has scored just twice this season. In the league, he has 10 starts, 14 sub appearances, and 1 goal this season. He also scored in one FA Cup start and started one game in the League Cup. He will be available against Leeds on Saturday.

According to Sky Sports, three teams put in bids for Dan Shittu during the transfer window: Birmingham City, Sheffield United, and Norwich City. The bid from Birmingham was said to be "in the region of £750,000." Gianni Paladini called the offers "derisory" and said Dan knew about the clubs that were after him, but is happy to stay at QPR.

I wonder if GP will get any credit from the moaners over on the .org and LSA boards (it's really gotten bad over there).

A report indicates that 38-year old Welsh international former Wolves and Southampton keeper Paul Jones has signed on with the R's for the remainder of the season.

He spend three months on loan at Millwall this season where he got his only club starts, so he's well familiar with our opponents this Saturday. He made four appearances for the Lions, the most recent on November 22nd. He's also played twice for Wales during this season in two World Cup qualifiers last October (wins over Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan). He has 44 caps for Wales.

Last season, he started 10 matches for Wolves before losing the job. He then went on loan to Watford where he where he started 11 matches between December and February.

According to the official site, Royce will not need surgery and could return for the Wolves match (3/4), while Jake Cole could be ready as soon as the Sheff United match (2/25). With the Stoke match on 2/18 postponed, Jones should have three matches (Millwall H, Palace A, Sheff United A) to stake a claim before Royce returns.

The official site confirms that we have signed Paul Jones through the end of the season. Jones indicates that QPR keepers coach Tony Roberts called him last week to see if he could join us before the Leeds match, but he was on trial with West Ham.

Looks like a solid signing. With both of our keepers nursing injuries, it's nice to have an experienced player to throw into the mix.

The R's recently signed two of their youngsters to their first professional contracts: 18-year-old goalkeeper Sean Thomas signed a two-year deal and 18-year-old defender Jon Munday signed a one-year deal.

Thomas has been an unusued sub on several occasions this season as backup Jake Cole has suffered through injury woes, while Munday was an unused sub against Norwich, marking his first time with the first-team squad.

Big changes are coming at the club as Gary Waddock has told several players that they won't be offered new deals and others that they'll be transfer listed.

Players whose contracts are up and who will not be offered new deals:

    Richard Langley
    Georges Santos
    Marcin Kus
    Sammy Youssouf
    Ryan Johnson
    Luke Townsend

Players who are still under contract but have been placed on the transfer list:

    Marc Bircham
    Marcus Bignot
    Ian Evatt
    Tommy Doherty
    Steve Lomas
    Stefan Moore
    Matthew Hislop
    Ugo Ukah

Interestingly, that seems to indicate that older players like Paul Furlong, Matthew Rose, and Mauro Milanese may be returning to the team.
