Some marvelous revisionist history being written by the tabloid press and on tv last night.

Portsmouth were apparently cruelly robbed of the biggest win in their history last night, as clearly beating Milan in a UEFA Cup group stage match would outshine either of their back-to-back league titles or their two FA Cup wins.

It seems football really did begin some time in the 1990s, where footballers grow up dreaming of winning the FA Cup at Wembley, as it'll give them the chance to play in the UEFA Cup the following year.

What amazed me most about that game was how whenever Portsmouth were on the ball, Milan just stood there and watched them. What amazed me the second most is how Portsmouth threw away a two goal lead in the last ten minutes to such an uninterested team.

First of all, you're Ameican, anything you say football should be like curling to us. Second of all, when was the last time anyone cared about a fucking american when rerarding football? Never. Go to sleap. Get some BK and fat up and leave football to Europeans.

I wouldn't say it would be Portsmouths biggest win ever, surely they have beaten the likes of United, Arsenal etc before? This is like when Bayern Munich - Bolton was labelled the biggest match in our history.. ******** right off.

In regards to the initial intent of this thread, some people fail to realise that every league is the same.. many many boring games with an occasional cracker, the only difference is the style of football played. I couldn't actually bear(bare?) watching quite a few Serie A games that were shown on channel 5.

    I'm English. :)

I assume the "red card" icon now means we've seen the last of the enigma known to most as "duck".

Shame, he was amusing, if a little abusive and short sighted.

All 4 English teams will be an Epic fail in the CL soon. This thread is spot on and I demand love for my unquestionable football knowledge after all the English teams will go out. Especially from Harry Boulton. Did you cry after Pippo scored so late on in the game against Pompy?

At least 1 you say. Well dear Sir, that’s not possible as I already stated all 4 will be an Epic fail this season. That's a Fact. How much Euros are you willing to bet? It's lost money. It's almost worse than people who are acually betting on England to win the WC in South Africa.

I thought it was illegal to burn money and bet on England to win anything.
