What a great movie. Its one of those movies that seems like a kiddie flick, but the more you watch it, the more things you pick up on that are "adult" and satrical.

    A perfect movie.

I don't know anyone who has seen it who hasn't loved it.

I need to watch this again - soon!

I read the book, it was verbatim of the movie.

In fact I remember seeing that the screen play writer wrote the book after he wrote the movie.

Agreed, but not exactly a close vote though, was it?

A small sample of his other films...

    Days of Thunder
    Crush
    Liar Liar
    Twister

The only movie that I can think of with him in it that didn't suck was Glory. ("Oh yes sir, you da bossman now and all us chillin'..." "Major Forbes, stand at attention!").

Yes, it was an incredibly stupid movies, but I think all mel brooks films are. But I think the stupidity of them is what makes me love the movies, I crack up everytime I see Robin Hood, men in tights.

    ----

I LOVE the princess pride, I might have to pop it into my dvd player when I get home from work.

Great movie. Silliest film has to be Top Secret, everytime I see that I notice something new. Also, I saw another film with that humour as a teenager called Real Men (James Belushi was in it) but it seems to be unavailable nowadays. I'd kjust like to see it now to find out if it was as funny as I remember.

    Given this evidence:

I'll assume you're better off with your memories.

It actually is quite silly......but worth the watch as long as you don't have to pay to rent it.

Fair enough. I just remember the scenes where the other guy believes he can shoot people by forming his hand in the shape of a gun.

LOL, I might have to vote for Airplane! as the most silly, but I've never seen Real Men. :)

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is another silly movie that is stupid funny. Sometimes you just need to watch a stupid comedy to give your brain a break.

It doesn't matter - if his only movie was the Princess Bride that would be enough to give him stardom.
