I guess you don't know Flo's history with star players. Check out galactico years, then the Kaka/CR/Benzema signings, and now Mbappe (likely another star or two soon as well). Kaka got injured or he wouldn't have been benched.

Flo will not accept failure with these signings. He'll fire manager after manager until he finds one that makes it work.

Carlo knows the actors that he needs to play. He just needs to find a script that works. He's a bit too rigid so far.

Similar with Spain stars btw. If Xabi Alonso hadn't left Real Madrid becaue he wanted to, Casemiro would not have gotten his chance. He was on loan at Porto and, at the time, he would have been sold if Alonso extended his contract.

Laughable that anyone puts him anywhere near this guy just based on goal stats in uber eats. He is on a different planet to mbappe at same age.

Great video, I recommend watching it. Henry explained it thoroughly.

On this video we can see that Mbappe just doesn't know how to play number 9 position. His natural position is LW. He will need a lot of time to learn how to move properly as a number 9 and when to time his runs.
He also ruined the balance of the team when playing off ball. Rodrygo was instrumental last season when we lost possession of the ball. With Mbappe playing and Rodrygo on the bench we lost this balance.

I think it is safe to agree that the experminet of Mbappe as a 9 is a failure.
If anyone should moved to 9 it should be Rodrygo or Vinni. Mbappe don't know how to run if it is not on the left side of the pitch.

This guy is washed but deep down all of us knew that already.

Thierry Henry: "Mbappé will get better, because he can’t be worse than this. We are not asking him to hold the ball like Drogba. Or take the ball and dribble past everybody. Make runs, when the team is high. Whether you’re a winger, a striker or a 10."

You know what the scariest thing about all this is? @Hendrix22 was probably right when he kept going on that we would be better off with Victor Osimhen.

    Nah. Wouldn't make a difference.

The problem is there is no balance and falling back to help defend when we lost the ball. Rodrygo did that and did it well.

    Osimhen wouldn't do it either.

Carlo needs to find that balance when we don't have the ball.

Osimhen is the hardest pressing striker in Europe. A pressing machine.

Don't worry, eventually you will come around. First they ignore you, then laugh at you, then fight you, then you win - more than enough cycles of this by now;)

    Henry absolute obliterates Mbappe.

It's not just the fact he misses 1000 chances.
It's not just the fact he does not hustle or run for the team.
It's also the fact that he basically is a net negative now.

A month ago he was just missing everything. He's far worse now.

What makes it even worse is Carlo is going away from what has actually worked. Rodrygo should have started with Fede and Cama in a double pivot and Jude in front of them.

We sit back compact to allow them to play the ball, break them up and counter with our speed on the width

I can't believe after all of the hoopla and joining a team that won a double WITHOUT him, Mbappe comes and plays the way he is playing. You'd think he'd give his left lung to try to be a helpful member of the team.

So we all agree that he's not it and makes us worse?

I'm actually surprised it didn't even take the entire year to figure it out.

The biggest issue right now is he's not even making the runs or pretending to press. It really sends the wrong message to his teammates and CA needs to address it immediately - sub him at 50 minutes in a few games and say he looks tired.

Henry forgot when he signed to Barca and they locked him up in a room and told him that this is not Arsenal, he's a nobody there, and had Pedro (!) start ahead of him. He has all this knowledge, but he couldn't apply it when he was playing. He later said it took him a year to figure out the situation in Barcelona.

But now he's in a suit and a rolex and has all the answers. Give me a break baldy.

Why you mad at Henry? He’s just being honest on what Mbappe is lacking. He has been more than gracious with regards to Real Madrid.

He difference is that he’ll actually defend, be an aerial threat and make striker runs.

Not saying he’ll be Madrid starter material, but his style will make a difference.
