Doubt he'll play a part in that game. His debut will probably be in the league

Ok can finally be excited for him...just a bit.

When does he start training with the team?

I hope he steps up. Benzema used to win balls back, start counterattacks, and sometimes even finish them all in the same play. Mbappe has big shoes to fill, and he needs to understand that scoring isn't the only way he can contribute. If we want more Champions League titles, he needs to be a complete player.

Mbappe's presentation had significant coverage on Sky News in the UK, that's pretty impressive and wide-reaching:

Maybe I’m in minority who doesn’t feels as excited since he milked the club way too much for monetary reasons but whatever…

Hopefully puts in efforts to justify the salary he’s gonna get.

It's not outlandish or prejudicial to suspect the Qatari Royal Family of going outside legal and/or customary methods to secure a footballing deal. I swear the internet throws around Occam's Razor far too much.

He did very well. Coming in with fluent Spanish is a sign of respect. Let's hope it's a sign of things to come.

Must be a slow news day. Sky Sports didn't even mention it.

Now that he left, the story will come out sooner or later...

Mbappe's brother was under PSG's control until this summer (Ethan). Kylian was told in his face that PSG would destroy his brother's football prospects if Mbappe left. Ethan just signed for Lille on his first pro contract and Mbappe left with peace of mind.

Beyond that, his father was also under PSG's thumb as he runs a youth academy in Paris. He's been doing it for 30 years. So he also stayed to allow his father to find other partners other than PSG.

Add to that the world cup, the political pressure, etc.

    Also, generational wealth offered.

At 23 years old, he acted in the best interests of his family as opposed to himself. We'd all likely do the exact same.

When Ronaldo came, he was our first big signing in a long time. Since then, we've only really had Hazard and he flopped badly. We've also won so many CL titles without Mbappe, knocking him out in the process, so thought he's welcome, we've already achieved everything without him so that's why it's quite muted from my perspective.

I'm surprised how good his Spanish is.

    Fair play.

Either Perez is having a bad day at the office or he aint as buddy buddy with Mbappe like with other players on their presentation.

Even though we did an amazing job in the CL in the last decade, our la liga record was less impressive. We only won 4 League titles in 10 years, failing to defend our titles all along, underperforming a declining Barcelona side.

CL will always be the big prize, but I think a player like Mbappe can help us be more consistent in the league/secure more league titles which would be a big plus.

That being said, the pressure on him would be immense. Given that we have already won the CL twice on the last 3 years, if we fail to win with him on our side, the media will point fingers… most probably at him.

I trust Carlo. Our main rival is Pep and city. It’s his is last season as their coach. Also, J.Alvarez will probably leave as he request a transfer. Maybe KDB as well
