By selling Mbappe and Alaba's contract expring, Vini will become the highest paid player by default.

At that point the club can just put a 3-5% annual raise in his contract as a formality and put the whole situation to bed. Any player that comes after will have to have substantial justification to earn anything close to or more than Vini, which puts a "soft" cap on the salary structure.

As close to a win, win as the club can get and it looks like the club is already in deep waters exploring this option where we sell Mbappe after two years and the public perception is the club pulled a quick one - two double sucker punch on both PSG and Mbappe by flipping the frenchman for a major profit after coming as a "free" transfer.

This doesn't even make sense. Who is gonna afford Mbappe?

I don't see any major financial profit either since the club is paying for his gigantic signing bonus which is almost equivalent to a transfer fee.

Liverpool (excellent chance his chosen coach Xabi will become manager), ManU, Arsenal, probably 4-5 PL clubs that would legit be interested, be able to “afford” and would satisfy Mbappe requisite quest to challenge for and win individual trophies and goal scoring awards.

I don’t see him leaving. That will bring with it a big “Perez’s mistake” sticker all over it and mistakes is not something that Perez have ever taken responsibility for, that’s what he has coaches, sport managers and the people that clean the restrooms in the SB for.
    Same with Vinicius.

Heck he can avoid playing at the Bernabue ever again and if he’s as good as he claims then he won’t have any problem going to ManU and winning a treble like a certain former Madrid legend he intermittently claims is/was his favorite player depending on the publication he’s interviewing with and the club he’s contracted to at the time.

    Keep Mbappe…sell Vini.

After all the drama to get him, he’s not leaving without getting us some major titles. Too easy.

Get his *ss to work. Fix yourself and let’s win.

Do you sometimes wonder why almost all your posts are about Mbappe and Vinicius?

Mbappe earns roughly 2.5x more than their highest earner, Salah. Good luck with that.

They can only dream of having somebody like Vini who plays for a tostada an apple and an orange juice per day.

Hopefully if anything Mourinho can use his powers of persuasion to convince Mbappe to leave like he did Ibrahimovic at Inter - a move many people questioned because Ibra was Inter’s best player by a wide margin.

    What Flo’s long game tho?

Hire Mourinho, force Mbappe out this summer then fire Mou after start of season and elections and make himself manager.

Dudes so full of shite I’m embarrassed for hiim.

This how you know he never developed nor learned how to play the proper way - the knows nothing thinks you can bring in 4 brand new starting defenders and a new coach and “system” and somehow the team will just have a new “style” like it’s as easy as changing shoes to go clubbing.

The faster and further he GTFO’s the better for all of Madridismo and hopefully the French fry fan guys will go with him.

    ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

I think we can all agree Vini could have done some things differently and often he has a big mouth, but at least he has the balls to say things to people's face and doesn't resort to spreading lies.

Those that spend 24hrs a day thinking about vinicius and posting vinicius memes will not have anything to say about Mbappe's comments and attitude today.

Mbappe is a better footballer than Vini, let’s clear that up. Vini has been god awful for two seasons now, this isn’t anything new.

What Mbappe said is a product of what this club has shown this season, led by the president just yesterday.

Mbappe also said in his scorch earth press that he’s not leaving Madrid.

Another reason why Jose is coming to sort this daycare out.

Give Vinicius the penalties that Mbappe has scored and they would pretty much have the same goals.

They both have been average. The only thing Mbappe has is penalties. His goal per shot ratio is not good at all and his assists bad also. Take away his penalties and he is average at Joselu level.

    Just so we understand...

Muriqi had more goals than Mbappe in la liga (not counting penalties)
Ferran Torres has the same goals as Mbappe.

He has been an absolutely disaster signing for the team unity also.

Man, this is some passive aggressive stuff, what a twat.
Given all that's happened this is the last thing we need.
