He already has more non-penalty goals than Mbappe. Won't be surprised if Mbappe comes back against Oviedo just to get a few more easy goals so he can win his little trophy if Muriqi overtakes him. A Cibeles!
The club did the same thing with Ronaldo, just playing full force teams to gift him a golden ball. It's a feature, not a flaw.
It’s mad how he didn’t look the same since the CdR game where he played injured. He took the risk to beat Ronaldo’s record and fumbled his season. His injury and form never picked up from then. Had around 20 league goals by then, and he’s still on 24 ever since.
This is the exact selfish career centric tunnel vision decision making he has repeatedly demonstrated throughout his career for which the club needs to cut ties and collect as much a transfer fee as it can, while it can before the signing becomes an even greater bust and completely untransferable. But yeah to your second point he’s getting to the point where it’s not just the narcissism, he’s getting older and not really even a 90 minute per game, 36 game a season player anymore. SELL, SELL, SELL!!!
Van Nistelrooy had a bigger impact,Higuain too,Joselu had legendary moment and overall very good season. This guy is a fraud, said it at the end of last season, will say it again....Real Madrid is not winning La Liga or CL with this guy He will be remembered as Real Madrids Harry Kane, empty stats
🚨 BREAKING: Kylian Mbappé was informed yesterday that he would be BENCHED in El Clasico.5 minutes later, he said he suffers from discomfort and left the training session.Everyone was surprised. @OndaCero_es pic.twitter.com/TuZEYzh8ZD— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) May 10, 2026
Why would Mbappe be benched against Barcelona, a team that is tailor-made for his style? I'm just wondering, haven't kept up with this untolerable bunch lately.
Don't worry, here's a "Hala Madrid" from the sofa, as proof that he's "with the team in spirit" I would like for him to travel with the team regardles of his injury. Given, you know, the fact he's the biggest earner on the team, and by some margin. Leadership through actions, and all that? He's a mercenary and a PR merchant.
The president didn't travel either which shows total lack of class and sportsmanship. "I don't play with you because you left my Superleague" baby.
This is not the first time mbappe disrespected the club in public He congratulated Thuram’s win with Inter Milan before he congratulated any of his teammates when they won their last game pic.twitter.com/WU41blOYZk— VITO (@VITOiei) May 11, 2026
We definitely looked more balanced and better without him and surely we won the game because he is the reason why we lose right? Riiight?
You know it is not as easy as that. Yes we are better without him and there is ample proof of that. Unfortunately, two very important cogs had a brawl days before the Clasico with one of them who has been one of the most important pieces having to miss the game through concussion. Not to mention a traitor (mole) amongst the players. We were fighting an uphill battle against a team on cloud 9. We were terrible but we weren't helped by the circumstances.
The team isn't better or worse without him or with him. It's weaknesses font suddenly become strengths. It's just selective cherry picking and deflection when the theory doesn't pan out. Vinicius doesn't have anybody close to Mbappe in status and style with Brazil but his performances equal his Madrid performances. Same with Jude. Those players are showing everybody who they are.
So it isn’t as simple as that when we lose without him but it is simple as that when we win without him Mbappe isn’t without flaws, but the team has MANY issues that boiling it down to one man was disingenuous
Mbappe is likely trolling via social media now. From left to right. Seen laughing his ass off after leaving Valdebebas after the Tchouameni and Fede incident. Posts the "Hala Madrid" yesterday only when the team was down by two goals. And posts the smirking selfie from the gym this morning. The "leaks" saying Mbappe was unhappy the club let Xabi go, may be right. The fact a lot of fans are calling for Mbappe's scalp may be what's behind these little social media digs.
I think the club will try to make one big outward move instead of many small ones and my feeling would say that they hope a club comes in to save them with a huge Mbappe offer. Hence why the main topic today was how great Vini and Fran Garcia were, how they defended the crest with pride and all that bullshit that never happened.
I think once the club fed him to the wolves and actually threw blood on him so that the wolves feasted on him probably has him saying yeah I’m out and I don’t blame him and if he does leave, what a colossal failure by both club and player for his tenure here. First season he showed up out of shape and lacking confidence second season he was in world class form and then the Madrid telenovela and injuries ruined that. His tenure could have been saved had we not been a mess this year with drama left and right but both player and club are equally to blame for this failure
If we sell Mbappe and we give Vinicius the €30 mil salary, I will know for a fact that Vinicius has some dirt on Florentino.
I tend to think Vini will go to full cruise mode next season if he gets that €30mil. Not that his overall form and effort is anything to write home about.
🚨 NEW: Kylian Mbappé is not thinking about withdrawing but intends to return this week.He will continue working to arrive in time for the match against Oviedo. His plan is to regain the rhythm before the World Cup. — @marca pic.twitter.com/vtV32QZ6Gl— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) May 11, 2026 Lol
His reactions to the the criticism is very telling and very interesting. Will be fascinating to see how he reacts if the Bernabeu boos him. He is not taking any of this on board well at all. Imagine if he had to deal with half the crap Vinicius deals with all the time (balon de playa, 18 racism events, the whole Bernabeu booing his every tough, constant aggression from rival fans and also online). I really don't think Mbappe is any different. How would he react if the new manager subs him out every game? I've said it before, he is very performative and an actor but suffers from the same narcissism as Vinicius. The cracks are starting to show from minimal pressure. He has been a bad influence in the dressing room. HENDRIX was right on that one.
That's the worrying thing for me in all of this. Vini has somewhat regained a bit of his form since January. That's 3-4 decent months just leading up to his supposed contract renewal. Before that he had a pretty much shitty year and a half. Even Lucas Vazquez (praise be to the lord) played like a 20mil more expensive player leading up to the expiry of his contract. What's the real new baseline for Vini? Not to mention, players like him generally decline in late 20s. Do we really want to tie ourselves with him at 30 mil a year for the next 6 years? Until he's 31-32 (4-5 year extension)?
