🗣️ Kylian Mbappé: “In Spain they are a little worried that I won’t play, they think I'll go straight to the World Cup… The best way to get to the World Cup in great shape is to win everything with Real Madrid.” @telefoot_TF1 pic.twitter.com/Roq6dD3caE— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) March 30, 2026
We are going to celebrate his back to back pichichis right? Cant wait for fiero and hendrix to bring some football knowledge to this thread SELL
He’s been nowhere near the leave from the 1st half of the season in the last couple of months, mixture of injuries and cooling of form. We’ve sacrificed a lot of balance by having him in the team so he needs to step up now big time in the CL individually. Balance wise, we’d be a different team if Militao remained fit, if we made a respectable effort to replace the hole Kroos left, and if we had signed someone like Kane instead of Mbappe, maybe we won’t be a better team with Kane but we’d have a much better balanced attack. A 2006/07 Van Nistelrooy would have done damage as the 9 in our current team.
This guy has ruined us, i was right from the start just like with Burger King, this guy is a disaster historic disaster Nasser won we lost ,only a sale can save us and make us a team again if not we are heading toward the abyss
Should only be dropping deep to reset defensive lines and make runs behind. Wouldn’t pass it to him to be part of the build up.
He killed us some of our counters because he kept dropping deep. He needs to keep his ass central-front and when he isn't and we are countering, quickly move into that position. Instead he continually drops deep. Leaves us without anyone up front and crowds where he isn't needed.
I suspect it's because he thinks he's fast enough to break and beat the line from deep because there's no way he thinks he's good at link up play from deep. He'll score a bunch of goals but he still looks like a LW playing at CF.
Nah. I'm with GlobalMadridista on this one. I think he gets itchy feet whenever he doesn't touch the ball for an extended period of time. He just can't help himself.
I think it's just his personal preference.. meaning selfishness. Thierry Henry made the same point. Stop dropping deep when we are countering or attacking. GET YOUR ASS UP FRONT AND CENTRAL. I got so annoyed watching him stay high and central whenever we were defending (so he could rest more) then whenever we got the ball back he would run backward as the team ran forward.
He has zero positional instinct and has been consistently ruining any offensive flow since he got here. But on the other hand, the dictator memes are exploding on social media and Im loving it.
Dropping back into midfield to "help out". Literally does nothing but pass the ball even further backwards.
Just a bad duo. It's a shame. Probably means we have to move on from Vini. Even though I prefer selling Mbappe.
I've said this before, one of them has to get sold in order for this team to get better. It's probably looking like Vini since Mbappe is Flo's boy.
Free roles for these two don't seem to be working when they're both on the pitch, and we have a two year sample size to work with, so it's pretty much a wrap on that. Perez will not sell Vinicius. Not this year, not next year. Unless Vini himself decides to cash out in Saudi. Mbappe is not going anywhere either. So our only hope is a coach that can be smart enough with Florentino and the players, who can convince them we need to have more structure in our play. I honestly can't think of the right candidate, but hopefully there is someone out there.
We already had him. They won't listen to a guy like that. For them, there is nothing wrong with what they do on the pitch.
They didn't listen to Xabi. Hopefully someone else can get the egos in line. I'm out of ideas Off topic, but where's @4x4s at? Haven't seen him post in a hot minute.
He was riding so heavy on the Mbappe or nothing train that the realization of when a club bets on Mbappe it gets nothing has been brutal to say the least. He was literally on the verge of joining the this club lives and breaths for the Pichichi crowd.
He does the same thing too. Just compounded when there are two of them. There are so many fundamentals we don't do right, I'm genuinely shocked that we got through City and are second in the league. Then again, it is these fine margins that are yet so significant in professional football.
Yep. Not to mention they keep getting in each other's way. It's frustratingly bad. The surprising results are just probably shows how much individial talent this team has.
