On the women being raped or abused I did a bit of digging around on my post history and I confused you with Hector. So apologize for that. It's okay if you don't forgive me but I was wrong. I deleted my post as well.

Apology accepted. Mistakes happen. Mods please delete my response to the post.

Mbappe wants to play CF because he gets to score more, run less, and because he wants to emulate his idol Cristiano and have the a similar career arc where he goes from a winger to a goalscorer. His only concern is his legacy and image.

He doesn't know how to move as a CF in a possession game, which is what we play most of the time. If its not an open field hes completely lost in the channels and tries to play like Benzema but his linkup game is also shit - timing and accuracy are mostly off.

I agree. I see a major difference between Cristiano and Mbappé. Cristiano turned himself into a goal machine. His heading was unbelievable, his movement much more dangerous. He was more of a threat inside the box and knew exactly how to find space especially for tap-ins. His physicality was on a different level as well.

Meanwhile, you have Mbappé, who in my opinion is stronger in one-on-one situations and has incredible pace. But he lacks good passing and accuracy in tight spaces, as you rightly pointed out. Compared to Benzema, there’s definitely room for improvement.

Any actual source for that? Why do you insist on so much speculation, mind-reading, and conjecture when it comes to Mbappe? It's bizarre.

Also, as long as he played for us, CR7 always insisted that he was first and foremost a winger, not a CF, not only because he enjoyed playing on the wing, curling in shots and crosses, but also because he hated being marked by two physical CBs tackling from behind. It's not an easy position to play and most certainly is not as laughably simplistic as "I want to score more, so I'll play in the center where the goal is" like in grade school.

He is scoring lots of goals, so his movement can't be that bad. There's a pretty overwhelming consensus that we lack creativity and ball distribution in the midfield, why is that not the main problem?

His movement isn’t bad. I was comparing him to legends. That’s complaining at the highest level. He’s the best player in the world right now, there’s no question about that.

But we’re also investing a lot of resources into him. The system is largely built around him, and that can work. However, if you miss three big chances against Benfica and your passing (especially the one-twos and switches of play) is poor, then criticism is justified. I’m confident it can still improve.

But sugarcoating everything just because he’s Mbappé isn’t appropriate.

No one is sugarcoating everything, I'm pushing back against the ridiculous notion by some (not you) that he is ruining this team, the main source of our problems, and that our team would drastically improve if he were replaced.

Of course its just a theory. I know nothing for certain, but years of observation helps.

Of course its not and I'd say he scores just as much if not more from the left, but its the more prestigious position so its a part of his "evolution". Not only like CR but like Henry too.

Arda and Bellingham are great passers for the final ball. But Mbappe's runs are off too often. I think his record has more to do with shooting ability than movement. Anyway

Just wanna say that I have been really impressed with Mbappes leadership in recent weeks. During the whistles from the Bernabeu, the whole Vini thing, and in general. The team has needed a leader and the likes of Fede and Carvajal have been too meek or too absent, Rudiger or Courtois for whatever reason have just abdicated responsibility, and Mbappe has stepped up as an example on and off the pitch. He also didn’t hold back with the Vini incident and that’s the kind of leadership we haven’t seen since Sergio Ramos.

Mbappe comes across as very level headed and is very articulate as well. Contrast to many of our players.

In terms of his performance on Tuesday though, he was weirdly really poor with his finishing, could have had a hattrick. But that’s irrelevant to the leadership point.

Stop crying; if not Mbappe you will blame Trent, if not Trent then Valverde, if not Valverde then Tchouameni, etc.

The problem all stems from the arrogant egomaniac running this club behind the scenes.

I don't know how many times Vinicius got to the byline and tried to cross and there was no one in the box. It was empty.

We cannot win anything with Mbappe. Understand this...we will not win a title with this man in the team.

I watched him for 90 minutes non stop. I have never seen a "striker" with less IQ on the pitch. Does not know how to to position himself. I have never seen a player walk nonchantlantly like him on the pitch. We played with 10 men.

We have to pray for an Mbappe injury. He is the worst thing that has ever happened to us.

Mbappe finished his chance excellently; however, unfortunately, he was marginally offside.

His work ethic was shite yesterday.

I remember Cama pulling the ball back into the Osasuna penalty area, a very decent ball and Mbappe was nowhere to be seen, the thing that made it annoying is that he was raising his hands.

Reports now saying he wasn't fullly fit and was nursing his knee.

Still doesn't explain why he wasn't subbed off for Garcia at the hour mark when it was painfully obvious he was lethargic and was off. The game was begging for a poacher. A couple of times the ball just skipped accross the Osasuna goal with no Madrid player within 5 yards.

He’s not fit to play but because we’re a club without a sporting director and the team to play is dictated by the board, he plays every minute possible.

We’ll end up causing him a major injury where we have no choice but to not play him.

No wonder Vini normally decides to just go it alone and has to score individual golazos.

All I ask is this: Next match watch Mbappe's movement off the ball. Offensively and defensively. Please.

Maybe Arbeloa should bite the bullet and switch Mbappe with Vini. Have Mbappe on the wing and Vinicius play ST.

Or maybe Arbs should give more minutes to Garcia who naturally occupies those spaces and actually has an aerial game instead of being shafted to the RW off the bench.
