Honestly when he was first signed who didn't think "it's only a matter of time." https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ot...n&cvid=af9404f03a4a471c81ad7ffc02eeb0b7&ei=46 The ONLY reason the team won the CL that season is because they were inspired by Mbappe's decision to leave Paris and come to Madrid. Mbappe is the biggest reason both Madrid and PSG won the CL in the last 2 season and he managed to do it without even playing for the team that won. Have a heart and show the guy some sypmathy, he threw it all away to come to a club where winning titles would be more difficult than maybe anywhere else in the world. Going to Real Madrid and collecting 100 million euro signing bonus is almost by definition, starting from zero.
🚨 Carlo Ancelotti: "Kylian Mbappé NEVER asked me to let him shoot penalties, or free-kicks, or anything. It's not true.Coaching him is really easy, he's very humble and well behaved." @lequipe pic.twitter.com/jtBaJP9ENS— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) September 13, 2025
If true my word... Yet there will still be people who will deny JAS/Florentino manipulate everything from the coach, their lineup and even the media.
It's probably something more verbal with his parents and coach rather than written on the contract. It sounds too stupid to be true. Imagine a striker refusing to defend a last minute corner set piece because he doesn't feel like it. His father is living in the 1950s thinking forwards don't need to defend
I don't know who is more ridiculous. You for making stupid shit up, or the people that believe it and respond to this garbage.
Yeah that Ancelotti quote seems like unverified bs. Even if it was true, Carlo would never come out to say it in the media, cause he knows what kind of shitstorm that would work up. But that L'Equipe interview is interesting, because maybe now Mbappe's camp feels more comfortable playing the PR game like that. Last year there was the initial poor form, the Stockholm debacle and no trophies, so maybe they felt safer hanging low with this kind of BS. Now Mbappe is in great form, and we're at the top of the table. Seems like a great time to plant some stuff out in the media, work the narrative etc.
More propaganda to feed the Mbappe trolls Say whatever you want, like it or not, dude is ours and doing some amazing work
The tip of the spear looks pretty sharp atm. If the midfield gets sorted out, this team will be unstoppable.
He’s definitely kicked it up a few gears this season. Rightly so given his talent and expectations when he signed. We really haven’t seen this team firing on all cylinders for any stretch yet since he’s arrived. The closest we’ve seen that was the dismantling of City in the CL last year. He’s the best player in football right now. Full stop.
His finishing was off probably more than anyone else. Maybe he needed the boost in morale because he couldn't convert that final ball but maybe he needs to "share" the PK's to help struggling teammates like teammates did for him when he was looking stranded on an island to start last season.
I feel we’re gonna have one of them games soon where everything we hit goes right and we score 5 or more
Depends on the context. I don't think anyone doubted he would score goals, people just doubted whether he was worth the money and to be blunt, that is yet to be seen. Definitely some kind of propaganda campaign going on at the moment with him that has spread to social media. He has less goal contributions than Eyong at Levante but people are making it out like he's the second coming of Jesus only 4 games into this season.
