I don't think its fair to blame Mbappe for us going trophy-less or PSG winning this year. They've been illegally spending money for years. It was bound to happen. Not trying to make this a bash Carlo post but I'm really excited to see what Xabi does with him. 40 goals in a chaotic and confusing system is amazing but just imagine when there are real tactics involved.
I was impressed by some of their young players they are bleeding in, but even those they bought for big amounts. Doue is 19 and has one cap with France, but he has been bought for 50M from Rennes last year.
Doue was on the verge of joining Bayern and there were reports that multiple Bayern heads were at the Allianz Arena saying "he should have been playing for us, he should have been playing for us". All the time. I truly feel like people are really overreacting when a player turns out good though. Dembele is a huge setback for Barca, bought for colossal money and shipped at bargain price, an eternity later, the hookah and the Playstation pro takes PSG to a trophy they chased for an eternity. That's a huge gamble paying off. If it doesn't you look like a complete idiot.
Otoh winning the cl will be seen as a logical prerequisite for winning the Bd'O now that it's some club other than Real Madrid lifting the trophy
A part of the media feels like extra attention will go to the Nations League and CWC considering a lot of the candidates are in there.
I don't care about individual awards, the criteria is nebulous and frankly it's a bit foolish to talk about so and so scoring tons of goals while neglecting who provided all the assist or who won the ball back to make all those goals possible. It's peak peak politics, virtue signaling.
It's a matter of opinion. If we'd want to be fair we'd have individual positional awards and something like "standout performer of the year" where we highlight players that did something great in a big moment.
Mbappe Lottin voted the best forward in the world this season by ESPN FC. Lewandowski is 2nd, Kane is 3rd, Haaland is 4th. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/45180244/2025-fc-100-haaland-best-center-forwards-mens-soccer
Ah the long sought after "ESPN FC Best Forward" award. Who's laughing now PSG? A trophy the entire club has chased for so long and can now, with great pride, finally rest at ease knowing that it stands atop the pinnacle of sports history.
doenst matter if it is Madrid or France, this guy doesnt excite me at all .......its just empty stats with him ...when he was a winger he was worth watching but this striker stuff is awful he doesnt have Benzema technical ability,passing,vision,inteligence...........watcing this game Yamal excite me ,even Nico excite me,Dembele is always doing something ....Mbappe awful
-won a penalty and converted it -got an assist -"forced" an own goal by making a good run He can not excite you but I don't think you know what an empty stat is.
Still can’t believe Kilyan Mbappe plays for my team. Brutal player. The 1-0 in the super cup is my favorite from this season. That regit gave me flashbacks of Cristiano flying down the middle going past players like they’re ghosts. the Gvardiol humiliation will also live long in the memory.

Comes across like the bitter ex who caused the breakup and is now jealous the other party leveled up with someone new. And I thought he extended/renewed in 2022 when he did a 180 and walked away from a move to Real Madrid. Either way the timing seems off. Why not raise these issues a year ago when he had already decided to leave and had a way out? Submitting a formal legal complaint would have made for transparency if he was afraid of retaliation or public condemnation by PSG. But only now all of a sudden out of the blue he remembers, after they win the CL and his own move is kind of a bust. Sketchy situation all the way around from everyone involved.
I genuinely dislike this guy and have been since day 1 ,feel horrible that he actually plays for Real Madrid
