I'm not an animated person when it comes to football, but even I screamed out "cross the fcuking ball man!!". I think this clip is quite generous to Mbappe. Sure I remember it going a bit longer with him just doing a bunch of nonsense and not putting the ball in.
Jude's reaction was normal. We were 2-1 down and he was in the box for a while, but Mbappe was more focused on being Robinho there.
So Mbappe will give his first real interview since before the Euro this weekend. Some say it was recorded right after the Getafe game while others say it will be live (I think it's the prior personally). It's on a French program called Clique on Canal +. It's a long interview. It will be aired on December 8th in the evening. He's apparently opening up about everything and will discuss the reasons why he's struggling right now, which includes tangible physical reasons. No holds barred. He's letting loose per reports.
Quoting one of my favorite characters from the movie The Town “you want to know that sounds like? it sounds like a bunch of bullshit”
What, the interview? Well it's on Canal+ on Sunday at 7:30pm. So not sure what you mean. It's being advertised in France.
Mbappé will learn that at Real Madrid no one cares about words, explanations, excuses etc., people only care about what you’re doing on the pitch. So whatever he has planned, it’s all - unless it’s negative towards his current club - going to end up in the “shut up about the past, and do your damn job” trash bin. In fact, if I was his representative, I would have strongly advised against this move..
I don't agree. The guy has a good setup, speaks well and probably done a bunch of research, but I watched that video and it came across to me like he hasn't watched a single game. Yeah, Mbappe is better playing from the left, we know this, but he has sucked there too this season. His finishing has been terrible and overall play before. All this ignorant commentators keep lazily coming back to the positional argument when it has nothing to do with that.
This video popped on my feed yesterday and I had to block the channel. Dude's voice is like nails on chalk for me Looking forward to it. Hopefully it won't be a soft launch of criticisms against his coach and teammates. Like articles like this one: https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futb...8/1002349291/mbappe-le-gusta-real-madrid.html
That's definitely not quite true, to quote Granero "at Real Madrid, you're not only a Real Madrid player on the field, you are a Madrid player at the restaurant, at the cinema, at the grocery store. You are representing this 24/7". At the same time, I just have no time for a heavily edited and absurdly prepared and vetted interview that's basically a therapy session. It's a "happy for you, or sorry that it happened, tldr" when it comes to stuff like that.
I'm hoping there is at least an optimistic explanation/solution for the "tangible physical" reasons for his struggles.
Fair enough, though I think you read my comment a bit too literal. The intention was to say that people are likely not too interested in what you (rightfully) described as a "therapy session". People want to see him shine on the pitch, adding value to the team and club, and as long as he doesn't do that, stuff like this won't benefit him. In fact, I'd argue it'll do quite the opposite. But hey, it's all fine with me. I won't watch it, nor am I interested in its content. But I hope he gets to focus a bit more on what's ahead, gets himself out of this weird spot, and starts satisfying (and exceeding!) expectations.
This big interview will be just another typical Mbappe PR job. This guy is the Kamala Harris of footballers, he stands for nothing except what he thinks would be well received by those around him. Wouldn't even bother watching that crap.
Carlos should bench Mbappe for a few matches so that he would come to terms of what is expected of him - otherwise, he is still expecting the royal treatment in Real Madrid that he is addicted to in PSG
Of course it will, but I feel we're kind of talking past each other here. Anyway, I'd rather he focuses on performing well on the pitch.
And then you have players with loads of personality... like Roy Keane. I just wish he had a different personality
Most players don't pretend that they do either. Look at Cole Palmer, a complete idiot, proud of it and people love him for it. Thats just how the times are nowadays, but Mbappe still thinks he can convince people that he's not fake by being even more fake.
