It’s not only Mbappe. All team looks bad. Look at Rodrygo numbers. The middle field isn’t controlling the game. Other teams run a lot more KM per game. When the team be good and competitive , Mbappe will thrive

That's all true, but the expectation is that Mbappé is that player who bails you out when you're not playing well. Can't remember when but he had a shot that was just so weak and tame. That's the kind of chance an Osimhen not even Ronaldo or Messi, buries but Mbappé just messed it up.

Mbappe doing that in trainings. We see the videos. Something is wrong with the preparation and method. Players aren’t running enough, aren’t controlling the game. They just hope for individual process to get the chance and goal. All is coincidence.. you don’t see a team. U see a mix of good players trying and trying.. nothing more.

    p.s.
We really missing Dani, Vini and Cama

Mbappe started his dip in form already at PSG. His whole final year there was not quite right. Who knows what's going on.

This is true. Last season he was in decline. Yet, he has the skill. Just need the team play better. The team hardly creating chances. Carlo must play more attacking style. Enough with the 1-0 and suffering method .. ask the players to run more. Make them press. Put Fortea as RB. Maybe you find he like Asencio. Let Chema play. Can become great DM..

He does not have any injury. So, it is all in his head, I think. He probably has a lot of pressure in Paris. How many footballers' careers were interfered with by the leader of their own country? France isn't a banana republic. Macron could not really do much, but it would still be a lot of pressure for a young man to be entangled in international relations between France and Qatar.

Best part of this is that if it really doesn't work out, there's greedy enough people around him to make a lucrative enough de for him to go elsewhere.

I find that extremely hard to play mind plumber without having any sort of interaction with a guy unless he's melting.

We can recognize patters (reaction to stress, violence, conflict) but what's going on in his life is hard to introduce in a logical argument.

After the likes of Hazard and Neymar being massive financial flops, I think people may be a little more cautious on gambling on clearly damaged goods.

He's Barca's best signing. By far.

He has been a massive disappointment given the expectations and the talent he has, the football he has shown for many years.

But how we handle this will determine if we can recoup from our investment. Unfortunately, he is still too young, talented, well paid, and famous to give up on.

He has to continue playing through this season and get support and hope that he either regains his form this year or next.

if he still sucks halfway through next season, that’s when you have to make tough choices

but for now, we have to ride this out with him

I don't disagree that he is still young enough to physically get back into optimum shape, and retrieve his burst of speed (he doesn't even have a history of long standing injuries). However, I am now starting to question his passion and commitment to the game.

The key question is - does he have the internal fortitude to fight at a club like Real Madrid? Where you need to put so much in to get a lot out, in terms of medals and acclamation.

Mbappe's athleticism is overrated. The players he based his game on like Henry, Ronaldo Fenomeno and Cristiano were not only fast, but they were also very strong. He is fast but hes incredibly lightweight. Couple that with poor positional instincts and too much freedom, you get this.

Why isn't he a flat track bully? We have people here who shat all over Haland last season and the season before last. Accusing him of the same exact thing. Mbappe isn't even performing against the smaller sides now.

It's rely all irrelevant, somebody will believe in him and every agent in the game with be rubbing his hands should he actually be available in the summer. Massive amounts of cash flowing in every direction.

This isn't a crippled washed up player. There are going to multiple people seeing the potential.

That is the issue. I appreciate Vinicius' has greatly improved his finishing since he joined us, but he was still no where near as clinical as the likes of Haaland, Lewandowski or other too strikers in Europe. This is the gap Mbappé was supposed to close. I didn't want him tracking back and nesting 10 people, just put the ball in the back of the net when give a clear chance.

I didn't wrote that barca are going to win la liga (though it does look now that they have better chances), but you can't deny that he gave barca a few good points.

as for selling him in the summer.
if continues to play like until the end of the season, we will get 20M-30M for him, but that's all wishful thinking. Perez will never sell him. maybe in 4-5 years.

I've been scouring some PSG forums, and all I can say is that even if he starts playing well we might still have some issues because of this guy's personality.

God help us if that's the case.

His body looks so weird like he should be a high jumper instead of a footballer. He has the body of a potato on stilts. His upper body looks incredibly weak and can't withstand any challenges. Of course he also doesn't have the guile or technique to beat his man either.

    Yes, definitely

    mbappe.png

Mbappe's number of goals and assists are considerably lower at Real Madrid. But shots per game, dribbles and key passes are similar (and much lower than in other seasons). His best season was 2021/22 or with France NT.
