Using that logic, an assassin should turn Trump's head into a cloud of pink mist.

I guess criming is okay if you're Trump, right?

You know, you lot have always claimed "the democrats wage lawfare against Trump" and those are "political prosecutions".
But, when you are taking power, does any Republican actually propose to pass legislation so that such political lawfare is never possible again? Absolutely not. The immediate instinct is to wage their own lawfare and prosecute THEIR political enemies.

You always claimed that Democrats are some kind of neo-bolsheviks and Kamala is a Lenin in skirts. That is what you believe with all your heart, apparently. And then, when you get the chance, you want to do what the "bolsheviks" do, just directed against the other side. That does not make you the good guys. It makes you Adolf Hitler.

The rhetoric about going after their political enemies started with Trump . He even tried in his first term . These people aren’t honest .

Exactly. I don't know what/who your boy here was listening to, but America has never lied to me about what it is.

White folks will not read the fine print. That's not the fault of the typist.

And what gets me now is that various posters and pundits are saying we need to listen more to the Hitler-loving felon's voters to better address their concerns. They simply don't understand yet there is no compromising with them - it is either entirely what they want or nothing at all.

Liberals assume they are acting in good faith. What they are doing is acting in their Christian nationalist faith. There is no compromise with that. Instead, you have to attack the issue at its roots, not give it more nutrients and water. Unfortunately, the Department of Education will be eliminated, so that makes it even harder to attack it at its roots.

You can't compromise or "address the concerns" of a group that wants other people eradicated because they physically exist.

Winning at all costs is what produces morally abhorent compromises. An old example is the deal the Republicans made to win the Presidency in 1876 that ensured the end of Reconstruction and the rise of Jim Crow.

Trump's only crime was winning the 2016 election.

Forget extending an olive branch. Time to ruin our enemies lives. Merrick garland and faucci should be first before the hangman. 2 scumbags with outright contempt for the constitution.

What if it's not your god? Will any god do?

And what makes you think Trump is a man of god anyway?

“You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness."

I think I'll weight that risk lower than the reality of the moral abhorrence that was just elected.

You're White, right? Just step across the aisle. There won't be a need to convince Dems to align with those people when you can do it yourself.

    I'm also a Jew. I think I'm safer with left-wing antisemites than right-wing antisemites.

Bannon and Netanyahu and Miller are Jewish.

    What's a left wing antisemite?

I am. I think the term is tossed around and aimed at people who simply want the genocide in Palestine to end.

You keep scrolling. I don't need a serious convo with you any more than you need one with me. You're the almost equally oppressed guy who wants the Dems to be more like Bannon and Miller so "we" can win elections. That will get ME killed.

Speaking as a Jew, I'm sorry to say it, but you're naive.

As a Jew, I already feel like I'm in trouble. The right wing is aligned with genuine Nazis. The left wing is bathed in old fashioned antisemitic tropes. I don't feel like I have any secure allies except other Jews -- and some of them are crazy right wingers today too! Sure, walking down the street I can "pass" as not-a-Jew. But my surname gives me away.
