Biden should have decided not to run over a year ago. Staying as the Dem candidate until that disastrous debate was pure ego.

It was like taking the car keys away from your 80 year old grand parent, it's not easy, he should have committed to being a 1 term President since the begging.

Yup, my wife is going through something similar with her parents. They can't keep living in their house because of mobility issues, but they won't do anything until there's a crisis. For Biden, by the time he accepted that he couldn't do another term, the crisis was already there.

And many threw praise at him for his late decision which was really just him being forced out. I don't dislike him at all ... but this was a bad decision even if the end result could have been the same.

I thought he had signaled initially he was going to be a one term President. My guess is he thought Trump was going away.

Joe Biden is a good, decent man. Had a hell of a life in public service, loses his wife and young child early on, becomes vp, loses his 46 year old son to brain cancer. IMO he did a great job as president considering the state of the country when he took over with the pandemic with the worldwide economy in a freefall and the opposition's tactics.
But he should have just focus on his one term and announced a year ago he wasn't going to run.

Well I'm pretty ********in' mad right now. My country isn't what it told me it was for the last 70 years, and there is no excuse possible. Anybody who was deluded wanted to be deluded...

Not trying to be antagonistic here, honestly.

As a gay man, the country is exactly what it has told me for the last 60 years.

The racism was more Lee Atwater sneakier for most of your life. Then Obama had the gall to run & win and now less than 10 years later it's:

All of this Monday Morning Quarterbacking. Just STFU already.

How are you going to protect your LGBTQ+ friends? Your single female friends who get pregnant? The immigrants who run the local restaurant you love? What's your plan for the repeal of the ACA?

Fvck the rear-view mirror. Look forward. The resistance begins now.

Really? You repped my other post where I slammed the whole "resistance" concept as worthless.

Fcuk resistance. The point is to win.

Take a deep breath Knave. My point of "resistance" is taking care of those who need protection from what MAGA wants to do.

That, and what you are calling for are not mutually exclusive.

There's no stopping him now. There's no resistance without winning.

I don't disagree with that. But I am not giving up on friends and family either. I'm a white male -- theoretically, I'll probably do just fine in a Trump Administration. So I plan on usinfg every fvcking privilege I can to resist whatever shit he wants to throw at us. I can do that and win at the same time. YMMV.

If my female friend gets pregnant I will support her pregnancy. I will not encourage her to murder her child. This is the United States, everyone has a chance. Life is better than death.

The scoundrel Jack Smith totally humiliated. How much tax payer $$ did that loser waste on prosecuting his political enemy??

Trump needs to appoint his own special counsel and go after his enemies. Fight fire with fire. Merrick Garland deserves to die in a small jail cell

And if she dies from a complication during that pregnancy and could have been saved by aborting the fetus, just gods will, right?

If you had a brain aneurism and slipped into a coma tonight, and then died after a grueling couple of weeks for your family, I'd have quite a little chuckle.

    Blame the left?

How do you combat a party with a network of propaganda that calls itself "news" but shamelessly lies to no avail like, Fox, NewsMax, OANN, networks that have lost MILLIONS in defamation. And how do we fight a political party that has a whole network of 200+ local station affiliates from ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox with the Sinclair Media Group pushing conservative talking points to it's millions of viewers?

How do you adapt when regular news networks like CNN try so fucking hard not to appear biased that they "bothsidism" by having clowns like Scott Jennings because their sponsors fear they will lose viewers as they get called "fake news" or worse, "enemy of the people", and have threats for their licenses to be pulled.

How do you fight hundreds, maybe thousands of pastors in local churches telling their flock to vote Trump because the dems are pedo Satanists that want to kill babies?

How do you deal with a whole party that puts their party over country every single time because it means more judges in local courts? A party that says "fuck all" to integrity and those that did...got kicked out and are now called RINO's or disgruntled employees that have a beef or war mongers while party leaders like McConnel and McCarthy are just watching it all burn, cause: judges.

How do you get justice when the court system no longer has neutrality focused on the law but a group of appointed judges to do a political agenda's bidding? Judges that are now favoring party over principle.

How do you combat the misinformation when a billionaire buys a platform on social media to warp the minds of the next generations to come, by promoting influencers and media personalities with a right wing agenda pushing his agenda while shadowing those that oppose?

And how do we fight it when these platforms that allow our enemies, foreign adversaries, to use this platform to spread lies and misinformation over and over again using an army of bots flooding the feeds with bullshit because they want one candidate to win over the other?

We put a felon, a rapist, a failed narcissist that tried to overturn the last election with the most disgraceful riot happening on the steps of our Capitol on Jan 6th after he said things like "Americans that disagree are the enemy within" while insisting he won an election he lost.

The fucker was selling sneakers and $60 Bibles MADE IN CHINA while ripping people off with "stop the steal" and hurricane fundraisers not to mention monthly auto donations draining his own fans' bank accounts.

She was a prosecutor, a district attorney, an attorney general and a US Senator. She has had more experience than any candidate.

And this is the Dems fault???

Fuck that!!! This is a systemic issue. We literally had 99% of his staff from his previous administration tell us he is a DANGER. We had 200 Republicans from various Republican administrations say they cannot endorse him. We had Nobel prized winning economists tell us his plan would be bad for economically for Americans.

When Trump says, "Poisoning the blood of our nation"...to me, he is talking about his own supporters and all the people I mentioned above that have enabled this, making this normal.

Don't blame the "left". It goes way deeper than this.

    The "left" didn't fail.

    WE FAILED. AS HUMANS.

    Amen.

One thing that is standing out to me tonight is that I don't remember the debate(s) focusing much on climate change - arguably the biggest issue the world faces. It just wasn't a topic of concern for this election. I'm not saying it would have changed anything, just that the most pressing issue was, at best, completely neglected. America is a very superficial country that is incapable of deep introspection or serious thought.
