As long as Loomer has Trump's ear (*), things won't go well for his campaign. She's ********ing (*) weird and she can only tie Trump down (*) with more weird stuff.

    (*) not a sex thing

AND take a hot piss over his voters’ enthusiasm.

    Platonically.

Then let's hope she gets both of his ears, even if one of them has been recently damaged.

I'm waiting for the bigly announcement from Donnie any day now:
"JD Vance...a nice guy. Maybe too nice if you know what I mean. So I've decided to make a VP change. Jack Grimes - where are you? Get up here. You're gonna love this guy. Wears a scrub brush on top of his head"

I was wrong. Papa Trump is in fact involved. Today he made a video announcement that World Liberty Financial is going live on September 16 in conjunction with a live feed on Twitter Spaces, which I'm sure will go well without any technical faults.

The funny thing is that crypto-bros all think this is terrible news. They are certain that a mainstream de-fi company that then does a rug-pull or gets hacked or has anything else wonky happen is going to force the government to kill the space and ruin things for all of them.

Haven't the feds basically said they regard these De-Fis as unregistered securities ?

Do I have it wrong, where they wanted to shut it down, but they’ve green lighted so much other Wall Street dumb********ery that they couldn’t justify killing crypto whilst allowing the other stuff?

They appear to be allowing stuff around bitcoin and ethereum, but they have effectively said that de-fi is securities fraud, and also been busting exchanges, rugs etc

The fact that MTG now realizes she's on the outside looking in really emphasizes this point.

It depends on how they describe their governance token, but very probably. Just yesterday the SEC made a deal with the eToro brokerage that essentially says if a crypto token isn't Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, or Etherium then it's a security. You pay for the governance token and it lets you have a vote in the running of the organization, so it's essentially like a share of stock. But it's going to be years before the SEC or any other branch of government does anything and if Trump is President he will shut any investigation down and if he isn't I'm sure it's made in a way to have non-Trump scapegoats.

Almost all crypto orgs that use governance tokens keep a large number so the creators have a controlling voting block, but World Liberty Financial will be holding 70% of the tokens for themselves. That is an unusually high number. Not sure what it means yet.

Never thought I'd see the Overton Window pass by MTG but we live in interesting times.

If you want more information about the individuals behind World Liberty Financial, here is a detailed article from Bloomberg:

1834580206557749311 is not a valid tweet id

But you don't have to read it. Just know it is a very slimy pair who have been involved with all sorts of internet scams for years and this is certainly another one of them. I think the plan is to goose this until the election to make Trump look like a financial genius who brings everyone along on his coattails, and then rugpull it after, blaming the SEC or the weaponized Harris administration or Haitians or whomever.

That first line under the tweet was gonna be my response! No, I don’t have to read it, because any grifter can kiss his ass and then get a prime seat on the grifter gravy train.

Some reporter should do a deep dive and figure out exactly how much money he has ripped off in his career. From every contractor he stiffed in 1979 to the victims of his various rug pulls to his former “students.”

Can't help thinking there's a very agreeable symmetry about all this. From that article...

    ...

At the same time, Trump’s sons were getting curious about the industry. At the Nashville conference, Donald Trump Jr. appeared at an event sponsored by a little-known token called “Make America Great Again, Again,” though he said he had no affiliation with the project. And in June, Martin Shkreli, the former hedge-fund manager who served years in prison for securities fraud, said that he’d been talking with Barron Trump about starting another Trump cryptocurrency. Shkreli declined to comment.

Loomer is now pushing the lie that the Haitians are also cannibals. Watching this develop is going to be fun, for some very idiosyncratic definitions of “fun.”

On the one hand, this whole episode is hilarious. It's the example we'll use to explain this era to our grandchildren for their AP history class on America 2016-2024. On the other hand, this is straight-up Nazism.

I nominate these two sentences to be the new forum motto. Hail Grimes worked when fascism was distant. It doesn’t work now that fascism has breached the walls.
