    How's Gaetz's trial going? Paxton?

Just two quick examples to show this ain't just a Trump thing.

Speaking of Gaetz….is buddy in crime was able to stay out of prison for a couple of years after his conviction…with the support of the DoJ…for cooperating in other investigations.

Has a single individual been charged based on evidence that dickweed provided.

I don't necessarily disagree with his decision. He's fcuked no matter what he does. But my thinking is he is betting on the come that Trump loses the election, and will not hesitate to put him in jail regardless of the outcome.

I heard a snippet today that the reasoning was he didn't want to do a Comey (influence the election). I get that from a cautious position, but since he has already been convicted and two different sentencing dates have been set, moving it after the election is going outside the normal guidelines (on appearances) so it shows favoritism.

That's a risky bet. There's a good chance of Trump winning the election which means this all goes away.

Does it, though? The state of New York sentencing the President-Elect to prison for a felony he was convicted of. It would be interesting to see what would happen if it was in a story. Not so much in real life though.

I would not hold my breath waiting for a jury to convict a president elect. The pressure from MSM and pundits calling it anything from unprecedented to an act of treason would be unbearable, plus all the toothless goobers that would come after you and your family once you're "accidentally" doxxed would make any juror's life a living hell.

I would love to be proven wrong if it gets to that though.

Well, justice can't be rushed :)

But, also, some of the case's that have been coming to court recently go back to activities during the mid nouhgies so even 3 years is a veritable sprint.

The Newsagents have an interesting episode about how Trump has either reversed or, at least, muddied the water on some issues in the run-up to the election...

It's in State court. Trump being President-elect wouldn't mean anything. If he failed to show, then he'd be a fugitive. Could get interesting if he ever tried to go to NY, LOL

I found this interesting - nazi Nick Fuentes is upset at the orange fascist for admitting that he lost the election "by a whisker" and "said that he will work to get voters not to back Trump."

    Said Fuentes:

It seems Fuentes has learned what we all have long known - the orange fascist only cares about himself. Of course, I have no absolutely sympathy for the "sacrifices" the supporters made, given they deserve what they got.

I thought one of the aspects of the crime Smith has to prove is that Trump KNEW he lost. Not sure it is helpful to your defense to publicly admit an aspect of the crime your charged with.

Edit: even worse…I think one of the bits of evidence that was thrown out by the immunity decision was Trump’s discussions with Barr with the AG telling him he lost. That was part of the original evidence that he knew he lost. No idea what other evidence Smith had…but it just makes this statement doubly dumb…in other words….typically Trump.

Though Racists For Harris is probably the last campaign committee we need.

I'm having difficulty picturing a White Nationalists for Harris group. Seems a bit of a paradox.

I could stand to see "Aryan Nation against Trump" t-shirts, though...:)

I'm sure there are some "anti-Agent Orange" t-shirts out there that could do the trick.

First time I ever heard that fable was when I watched The Almighty Johnsons last year. If it weren't for that, I'd have no idea what you meant by that

You didn't watch Star Trek Voyager? I was a really big plot point in the season 3 finale and season 4 premiere. The episodes are literally named "Scorpion".

Not a Trekkie, although I did watch most of The Next Generation. Can't say I've watched any of the others, including much the original. Saw one of the movies (with the Borg). Not my cup of tea.

IIRC, there was a social media post out there saying as much, I think during the NY election fraud trial.
