Same story as in the last couple of games for China, some decent build-up play but terrible in the final third.

now we have to wait until next year to see if we qualify for asian cup 2015 or not. away game vs. iraq. gonna be tricky. we might even qualify as best 3rd place. but it is too early to calculate.

disappointing performance from our team today.

Really poor and frustrating today. What happened to the passing creativity that was shown in July and September?

Away in Iraq next March will be tough.

lebanon would be the biggest threat to best 3rd place ranking.
if lebanon lose to iran 2-0 or higher today, even if china lose next game.
it is most likely china will qualify.

While were still talking about 3rd placed teams it's Hong Kong's only way for them to qualify after they lost to Uzbekistan.

Dissappointing result. Really lacking a real striker, Yu Dabao shouldve come on much earlier as it was obvious we needed some people in the box. Gao Lin goes deep and out wide too often, as he always does. Really surprised we didnt get the penalty at the end. Not that i believe that it was a clear penalty, it was 50/50 for me, but considering we got a lot of soft calls our way the whole game it was a bit surprising

is it just me but i think China play too defensively...conservatively ...long ball as usual...
why cant they just play football instead of volleyball?

so when will Muriqui or some amigos start playing for China NT?...LOL
so Lippi now will coach China - Iraq game next March?

Looks like Coach Fu Bo is a lightweight Coach Gao Hongbo. Lippi suggested Gao Lin and Fu Bo took the suggestion. Good. But he didn't use Gao Lin the right way. In Lippi's team, Gao plays alongside a couple of finishers. Gao is a creator but never a good finisher. Also, Gao Lin doesn't have full-match stamina. Gao Lin should play alongside either Wu or Yu who can finish, but both were subbed into the match very late.

It's ironic that with this unsatisfactory result, drawing this match, a draw next match in Iraq would actually be a satisfactory result. :)

It looks like Iran may have done China a favour (never thought I'll write that) and beaten Lebanon 4-1.

If the worst case should happen and China loses to Iraq then Lebanon will have to overturn a -5 goal difference to be best third placed team.

I think both China and Iraq will qualify.. But the question is who will be the runners up of the group?

When did ZZ start playing CB? At Celtic, he was used as a wide MF or CAM
