Injury update: thanks everybody for the messages of support !!! it’s just a little hamstring tweak so hopefully i’ll be back soon ✊🏾 #ykn— chris richards (@eastmamba) April 24, 2021
Ahhh , just the hammies making Richards aware of their presence. Growing boys need to take care of those hammies!
If he goes on loan next season, I'd be very surprised if it's anywhere other than Hoffenheim. Sebastian Hoeness coached Bayern II to the 3 Liga title last season and he was in charge of their U-19s for two seasons before that. A coach with that pedigree has the trust to make his club the preferred destination for seasoning a valued prospect. Being Uli Hoeness' nephew doesn't hurt either. The real issue is what him going on loan means. Bayern have already assessed his ability, thoroughly. There are no surprises, only the questions of whether he's good enough to step into Alaba's or Boateng's shoes; whether he's good enough in September and whether there are only two guys ahead of him in the pecking order or three. If he goes on loan it means he's good enough for BL1 but not for Bayern, at least not yet. IMO - and I'd love to be proved wrong - if he goes anywhere other than Hoffenheim it means they've concluded that he's good, but won't be quite good enough for FC Hollywood.
If it had to happen, at least it happened when they have a week off because of the pokal semifinal matches.

Didn't watch the last match, so I don't know what injury he sustained. Quick Google pulled up that he was going into this week's match questionable with a thigh injury: https://www.ligainsider.de/chris-ri...s-richards-ist-gegen-schalke-fraglich-303490/
Stretched awkwardly to make a play late in the last game. Since it's a muscle, might be touch and go whether Richards/Bayern want to risk it for Hoffenheim's sake, when they're probably safe.
Dang, he want be playing this weekend either. „#Akpo und @eastmamba werden am Samstag fehlen. Auch #Beier muss passen, bei ihm stehen wichtige Prüfungen an. Daher hat er die Quarantäne verlassen.“🗣️ Sebastian #Hoeneß#TSGBSC | #Pressekonferenz pic.twitter.com/9NuDQsNO74— TSG Hoffenheim (@tsghoffenheim) May 20, 2021
I wouldn't worry about him missing the last game of the season. TSG are safe and he's going back to Bayern in 10 days: there's nothing at stake. TBH, I'd be worried if he was playing this weekend. A bad strain needs rest, not 90 minutes in a dead rubber
Some analysis: [THREAD] Chris Richards has enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Hoffenheim. Coming in as a day one starter and making an immediate impact. I made a data visualization highlighting his strengths and will analyze how it translates to on the pitch at his time in Hoffenheim. pic.twitter.com/kENkYImKM0— Caleb Adams (@itscalebadams) May 23, 2021
Would be fascinating if Bayern let him go at that price. Would there be a buy back or sell on possible?
