Here's a link. http://www.activedayton.com/ddn/news/ap/ap_story.html/National/AP.V3915.AP-Dog-Shot.html The family was interviewed on the Today Show this morning. Apparently the husband left his wallet on top of the roof of the family van at a gas station and it was reported as a robbery since as he drove away, money filled the air. As shown on a police video, the police pulled the van over and made first the driver and then the other members of the family kneel on the ground and the had them cuffed. The police video shows the dog trotting out of the car it's tail wagging and then you see the police discharge their weapons including a shotgun into the dog. Thankfully, the dog was not in camera view. Very sad. Stupid hillybilly police! I hope the family get's a lot of cash and that it hurts the local police. They really overreacted, not to mention the way the family was treated like common criminals!

What color was the dog? Sorry, couldn't resist. I feel bad for the family though. How do you explain that to your kids?
That's real fvcked up, Skip. With a straight face. "Kids, see now our tax dollars at work. Now let me tell you the story of Abner Louima..."
I haven't watched the video clip, my computer at work won't download it. I'm in no way defending the cop, as it sounds he was an abusive piece of sh!t. However, I thought I'd point out, maybe as a public service announcement, that vicious dogs are known to wag their tails before attacking. The impending attack makes them happy. So don't assume because a big dog is approaching you aggresively yet wagging its tail, that you're safe. Again I haven't seen the video, sounds like the dog didn't appear to be vicious at all, and other body language would indicate if the dog is harmless. Probably another case of police thinking they're allpowerful.
Punk ass cops, that dog looked like it was only 10-15 pounds, i wonder what would of happened if these people were driving black or brown, itchy trigger fingers?
I'd read about this before and downloaded the full movie clip. What a bunch of maroons those Tennessee pigs were. The dog was about the size of Richie Williams, just tall enough to nip at your ankles.
Could the cops lose their jobs for this, and when the Family win their suit, would they get a lot of money or just enough to replace the dog, because i think a dog is only property, right?
I hope you ain't as dark as me Kimo Sabe, cuz you know what the Good Ole boys would do to ya, huh Red skin?
I know what you're saying. I was pulled over under a blazing when I was about 17, and the white deputy made me take off my boots and socks and hop around on the pavement for about an hour.
You got to be a real puss if you shoot a tail-waging dog just because it approaches you. I've been attacked by dogs two times in my life once by a female pitbull and neither time did they come at me tails waging. Family won't get much money probably, but this cop reaily lacks nerve and guts. Take your bites like a man .
Watch the video, if possible. It shows the dog trotting around, tail wagging, just before the cop puts three slugs in it, while the family's kneeling and cuffed, looking like they're about to be clipped by the mob. Absolutely disgusting. Every time I start feeling like I might have some respect for law enforcement, sh!t like this happens.
I thought about not watching the video, because I knew it would bother me. But I did anyway. Those mother f*****ing cops deserve to be prosecuted. There was NO WAY IN HELL there was any reason to shoot that dog. Bastards. The family should sue them, and for a LOT of money.
Yep! That sums up my sentiments. I could almost see myself as the dog. Hey! Where is everybody? Oh, there you are hey who are these guy's hey you guys you wanna play? Bang! Bang! BANG!
"A police investigation found that Hall did not use excessive force." I wonder what would be considered excessive force then.
