Remember the proud boastful strong “War President” Remember when on “Meet the Press” that this was his mantra. Remember the past 2-3 years when the white house has told us we have a president who can take us to war, and ‘win’. Well now he’s “FLOPPED!” Now he’s the “PEACE!” president…!? Bushes speech to the “Urban League” (Not football related) He just happened to mention “I’m the peace President” several times and used the word ‘peaceful’ no less than 12 times. I just cringe when I see the Reps. Nodding their heads in unison as he says it. "You are getting very sle-e-e-epy....I am the peace President..."
Bush will turn out to be a peace President...peace thru victory. Same as Truman, Reagan, and Lincoln were peace Presidents. No point having peace if your children and their children won't be around to enjoy it.
When Americans felt revengeful after 9/11, Bush vowed to be a war president; now Americans are sick and tired of the stupid Iraq war, Bush wanted to be a peace president. I mean anybody can be a president nowadays, as long as he knows how to read the polls. Where is the leadership? Let's call it the dumping down of the presidency.
