I would go half size down in your european size. I have all of the top end akunas. When you like a tight fit go half size down
    Or take size 45.

Alright lads, this is a bit embarrassing but here goes. A few months ago I got some Akina Piuma made in wide width as I often struggle with boots that fit my forefoot. Anyway I tried to play in them several times but had to stop because they gave me terrible blisters on my heel. I tried to break them in but fear they are just a half size too big and my heel has just a little too much room to move. Seeing as they were made special for me, I played in them several times, and it has been several months I haven't even bothered contacting Akuna. So do you think I just wasted $200? I tried wearing them tight by tying a runner's knot and I tried wearing them loose with vaseline in the heel. I still experienced pain. Any other tips or solutions for boots that are slightly too large? Or do you think I should cut my losses and try to sell them?
    Thanks lads.

Ah man that sucks to hear that. Sorry!
You could maybe double sock and have the top sock be a grip sock but for me personally I can't do that. Normally I'd either sell them or just have them as part of my personal collection, especially if they were made just for me...

Sadly I think there is no solution to your problem. They have to fit very tight to prevent the moving heel.
If you have tried it several times, then they are just too big :(

Thanks for the responses re my big Piumas. I think I'll keep them for display. I have in mind a shelf with a retro leather football flanked by the boots. Should look nice. Anyway, do you guys have any recommendations for a guy like me with a wide forefoot who's interested in old school style boots?

The Ryals seem to fit decently wide overall. The Diadora Italias are an excellent boot to go with too

Here are the new colibris. They changed the tongue, but the heel area is not padded IMG_20190717_182139.jpg IMG_20190717_182244.jpg IMG_20190717_182149.jpg IMG_20190717_182156.jpg

Hi all - new to this site and came across it when searching for more info on Pantofola boots.

I’ve always wanted a pair of Pantofola’s and finally ordered a pair of Superleggera 2.0 from PDS during the Black Friday sale. Ended up getting them for £102 which I thought was awesome. I only really wear Nike boots as never really got on with Adidas but always order a size 9. After reading some posts on here and other places I decided to order a pair of 8.5 and 8 so I could try both and return the one that didn’t fit as good. After trying both decided to stick with 8’s and really happy with the fit and comfort.

I wore them today for the first time but I only play on AG and I knew I’d be taking a big risk re durability.

Do you guys wear yours on AG? If so, do they last?

After just one game I’ve noticed a slight gap on the front of the sole plate by toe area :-( as I’ve said I knew this was the risk and it could happen but sad to see it’s started after one game. No complaints though.

Thoughts on applying a tiny bit of glue as it’s still insignificant but does have the potentially to become a lot worse. Or maybe some durable tape just around the front toe box area where it connects to the sole plate?

I thought this was the best place to come for some advice so looking forward to hearing what you guys think.

I was just browsing the Lazzerini at Eurosport and noticed that soccer.com is now selling the Unozero Modelo 1.0. I've been interested to try these since they launched; the reviews I've seen have been pretty positive.

I've been wanting to as well. Everything I've read says they're really good too. I wish the price was slightly lower though.
