Please!!!! All I hear is Pedro Mantorras this and Pedro Mantorras that. But nobody can give one good accomplishment that this guy has made. Every time I saw him with Benfica last season he absolutly chocked. This guy is the most over rated soccer player I have ever seen. My whole family here in the US are Benfica fans and they are sick of this guy. For all the money they spent on him he has produced nothing but crap. How many goals did he score last year? I don’t even remember but I know it was nothing to write home about.

I really think he should stay with Sporting for another 2 years at least. He has incredible potential, but he won't see any playing time with Inter or ManU. I rather have the kid at Sporting developing into a dangerous player than sitting on the bench in the Premiership and getting nothing out of it. Playing for a club is great, but we need to develop him into a national-team caliber player.

    He is portuguese, right?

Your right I think it would be a big mistake. I read an article that Man U wants to talk to Sporting about him but it's just to register their intrest. They said they would not want him for a couple of years. I'd hate to see the same thing happen like with Viana.

For his benefit and for the benefit of the Seleccao, he is better served staying at Sporting for a while. As a Benfica fan, I feel he should be sold immediately. This kid is the real deal!

The latest Christiano Ronaldo news is that he will be invited to play with the U21s in its next match. Remember, the kid is still 17!

    From Abola:

There is quite a few reports on us being after Ronaldo now..

Liverpool are believed to be in talks with Sporting Lisbon for exciting winger Cristiano Ronaldo.

Reports from Portuguese sports website www.maisfutebol.iol.pt have claimed that Anfield officials met with FIFA agent Jorge Mendes on Tuesday to discuss the switch by the Under-21 international.

Ronaldo is currently representing Portugal at the Toulon Under-21 tournament, where Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is expected to arrive this week.

The 18-year-old Madeira-born starlet is likely to cost potential suitors around £5million.

I would hold onto him for a while if I were Sporting. 5M isn't enough for a player of his potential.

I believe its five million pounds, portuguese press saying 7.5 million euros, that's almost 8 million dollars.

Ohh. Even so, I think he's a guy they could get 15-20M from in a couple of years, especially when/if transfer prices go back up.

a couple years ago would be that easy, all the teams are cutting down, Beckham two years ago would be worth 60million just like Figo and Zidane, know he went for 41m.
Ricardo can't even get 5 million euros, and his one of the best at his position.
